The extenders are bargains on ebay. Keep your eyes peeled. I'm getting the 2x tonight and will pick up a 1.4 in due course. :)

LOL mate its got to be done. I've got a 2x extender just in case so I can go to 400mm. I will be getting the 1.4 though. You only drop 1 f/stop too so at 300mm you're running on f5.6. Which isn't too bad when you conider the price.

The wire is really simple mate. You might need to add the connectors yourself but its pretty easy.

Its alot I must admit. Its the non-IS version. One sold on Ebay last week for £700.
