Parked up in Nottingham one night my Cup got a huge bodyshape dent on the bonnet. I can only guess that "whatever" landed on it was the size of a small elephant.
When I went to Donnington last year it was tipping it down, the only place with any cover was the grand stand which they had an official stood by saying no one could go in... he was drenched and was met by about 200 very angry people who were also drenched.
Grrrr.

The extenders, depening on which one you buy, lower the focal ratio by either 1 stop (EF 1.4x extender) or 2 stops (EF 2x extender).
I suggest you read the following Wiki for a technical explanation as to F-stop values and...
Getting on alright... your right, it is beastly to hold and weighs, together with the body, around 2kg's which alot when you've got it all together. Manfrotto monopod here I come. lol.

Quick warning - a friend of mine has this "you are using an illegal version of Windows" pop up on his machine after doing some windows updates... a week later - nudda. Windows won't even boot up. Not sure how 100% accurate it is but you've been warned!

Fair enough alot of new laptops come with bloatware. Dell and Sony are quite notorious but after getting rid of it all, its plain sailing.
