Seriously Charlie... Just post the original photo, admit the mistake and move on. Maybe start a project thread or something. The sooner you do that the sooner it gets forgotten.
Maybe he thinks this thread will go away and all will be forgotten... Bit pathetic really. Could have been nipped in the bud pretty quickly with a bit of honesty.
Aren't the legal costs to them are basically nothing as legal cover is an insurance in itself? Sounds like its a cash cow as they probably discourage people from ever pursuing legal proceedings.
So what are you saying, I think he should fight it yet you are saying they won't want to spend the legal costs fighting a whiplash claim. You also said whiplash could occur at any speed. Really? I am not a doctor but a shunt at 5mph surely isn't enough to snap someone's head forward/backward...
I had someone hit the Clio when i first got it. Minimal impact. Checked the car and there was a scuff on the bumper. Young fella offered me money, said forget it. Polished it out. Moved on. TBH, the insurance companies f**k me off more by just rolling over.
I don't think the video of someone doing 140 should really be questioned. We had a thread up recently where many members admitted pushing the Clio to its limits. The driving in the original post was where the issue was and we know that wasnt the owner.
Hark at all the sweet an innocent in this thread. Yes the guy is a dildo driving like this but most of you would have made a stupid overtake and broke the 30 limit in a car at some point.
Thanks, I will take that as a compliment as I work in support. Might consider at a career change looking at the bonuses those sale guys pull in ;)
Enterprise IT strategy is a huge topic so let's just agree to disagree on this.
For you to move to Ubuntu isn't an issue with those numbers. How do you envisage an enterprise with 50,000 windows machines moving? I am not sure it's that simple, BT for example have deployed 6000 Windows 8 tough books to their field staff alone, what is their migration plan and drive to move...
Some companies may move to Linux but I don't think it will be as many as you believe. You mention your company is using Ubuntu, how many users have you got?
