Whoops had to think twice, quite correct. Although he will probably find the tension is being held by the bolt that goes through the alternator on the block, which is very much on borrowed time.

Weight of the alternator and the entire tensions rests upon that tiny 10mm nut, get a bolt in there ASAP

Decided to pull the engine out and retire the car yesterday, the oil breather issue was not good and the whole car was stinking of oil everytime i used it. Engine is now down to its bare components, and as suspected one of the pistons had a fracture ring land. Fully forged build should be ready...

I used a ratcheting crows foot, although had to file down the purple plastic stops slightly as the tool width was too big, not a proper method, but it worked perfectly and the tool was cheap (ill probably never use it again).

Same for me, was the rear light, i tried sanding the pins but you dont really get a lot of access so i scratched them with a screwdriver to reveal some fresh metal, no problems since (over a year ago)

Front hub nut is 285nM, really really tight. Admittently i have never torqued up any front hub nut bolts. i usually do them up with a breaker bar and put my full weight on them (17 Stone), not had an issue with one prematurely failing yet :)

Slow progress on the manifold, i've figured all the runner routes. a quick measuremnt on the car shows i have about 9" of room from the cyl head back to work with, closeing down to about 8" in some places, all seems to be OK so far. Unfortunaetly ive only got a hot glue gun to stick it together...
