When your on your way up to the line, you'll be buzzing mate, youll just want to spank whatever your car is next to you, looking after your new tyres will quickly go to the back of your mind, and so will any worry of a little burnout before hand.
You do a little one just to warm the tyres up, nothing mental, you wont shred the tyres!
Looking forward to this, car cleaned, tools packed and camera batterys charged :) bring it on
There is no such thing as actuator flutter?
The flutter should never be heard as long as the pressure release device (BOV, Recirc, Divertor e.t.c) on the car is functioning, your golf included.
Compressor stall noises made by the excess air pressure being 'chopping' by the compressor wheel as...
Improvise! Get an M8 bolt, some large M8 penny washers and stack/trim/cut/hacksaw/file to suit. Should be able to make something that can at least hold the battery still.
There are a few of the c16v lot meeting at McD's at Cribbs Causeway at 10am on Saturday morning to convoy up. So if your comeing from SW area, feel free to join.
Absolute mare when you realise you might have to take the bxo off again, i make sure the first thing i do when the box is changed is to put the cable back on and test the pedal to make sure it feels OK.
Shakespeare scrutinise the cars on RWYB days, albeit no in depth. Just check the battery is secure and your seat is booted to the car LOL. Don't think they checked for leaks
People appear to be failing at the concept of ADDING their name to the existing list ;)

Numbers are looking up, nice one...
I love it, you can try and drain every last f**king bit, then youll go do something else on the engine, look back and you'll have a pool of red s**t under your car! RAGE
Id say that is not the original belt. The writing usually wears off after a few thousand miles.
I'd still start saveing to have it changed for peace of mind though.
I think when people choose inductions kits, unfortunately the last thing they actually consider is actually how well they filter air, and moreso how much carbon shield they have, how colourful they are or their power claims by manufacturers. I chose a JR filter purely as they were TUV approved...
Organised on Clio16valver. But the more the merrier. (+ could do with cliosport to make the numbers to be fair).

There will be a couple of us meeting at Mcdonalds at Cribbs causeway on Saturday morning for anyone in the South West.
Is anyone going fancy dress (aparently there are competitions and prizes for this?!)
Got exact same problem, wipers just stopped working one day, motor is buzzing away but sweet FA is coming out. Need to do mine this weekend.
Getting the wipers off the spindles is an abosolute c-unit of a job to do! I'd probably advise dabbing the spindles with a bit of copper grease when...
Just tell people which pulley and belt is required. Kudos for the great idea and result and for being the first to do it, but why then does it turn into a money making excercise. A universal pulley and a belt does not cost £65.
You can buy the belts individually off ebay for £35 from memory.
Id personally replace the belt only for any time it needs to come off, and then replace the tensioners at 5 years/ 72k. Im sure people will disagree with this though.
