Hi,
i am wondering, why i did get 2 degrees of negative camber at the front on my setup.
I replaced the front arms and dampers to 172 ph2 CUP types on my 172 ph2.
After beeing in the garage for tracking alignment it drives fine, corners like a tripod:).
I dont have any camber bolts, so there...
bought a dci65 as my first car only because i wanted a car with aircon, abs, airbags. My employer just had one for sale, that I was driving, so why not :). It was a great clio, and I am still taking care of it. Then in 3 years i found out that there was also a dci100 available, but not in...
I vote for silver too.
Had them white on my black 172 and it was better than black, but i went for silver.
white:
No pohotos of silver wheels mounted, they still in the garage (i wish i had gone for a bit lighter)
Hi people of CS-land:),
i am getting my tracking checked, since i changed 172ph2 bits (suspension arm, shocks) to 172 cup bits.
what are the OEM values to be looking for?
Just asking because 172 clios are not common here and last time it was difficult to find a suitable Clio model in the...
I have not ever sold a car to a foreign person (bought just 3 in total, and own 2 atm :) ), but I think I would like to see my old car till its maintained well. When it will start falling apart, full of dents, cracked bumpers, it will be a sad look.
Hi mates, another tyre question:)
I am looking for a 195/45 R16 summer tyre. They should be the best at dry and average on wet.
I cant use 205/45 r16 (local law stuff).
I am looking at Yokohama S.drive or Michelin Pilot Sport 3.
They don't have to last forever as i don't drive the 172 daily...
I don't know your mechanical knowledge, but maybe it would be good to find a specialist local to you to take a look at your 172 if you are unsure about it. These cars must be enjoyed, they are made for it:)
the lower your car is, the less you should use the renault jack, as the biggest stress is in the low positions at the part what was bent. and usually there is no weight, but when lower, there is.
Own experience:p
welcome, i did not read a owners review of GT 120 EDC (not much reviews in total, all are just after RS), so i hope you write some lines after a month of ownership:-)
Took it apart yesterday. The distance (measured from bolt hole to damper) difference between the bolt holes is around 5.5mm on the koni sports.
On my old dampers it is 3.3mm, so i guess the item i bought was meant to be on a non sport clio, where the camber might be ok, due to a more narrow front.
I fitted my on saturday, i have issues with front but rears are fine.
I used the oem bushes, but i had to drill them to 11.75mm diameter sice the oem rod is thinner on the upper side. The little metal tube what was betweend the two mound went away as it does not fit on the rod.
I had a few...
Thanks for the input. These are winter wheels, turinis will be for summer.
Yes, the front wheels look very inside, what is strange. rear wheels are, fine, dont want them more out. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-9bLdifQdi8I/UyYAycWd10I/AAAAAAAABbo/qEt56vqUgFk/w1598-h899-no/DSC_0017.JPG

Fitted today....rubbing like hell (koni sports, eibach pro lines). Also front sits very low. Still on non cup wishbones. Also negative camber happened, due to beeing so low i think.
I wrote to eibach to confirm what are the spring for that i have. Must be something wrong on it. I will see what...
I will first mount the suspension to the car, try it how it handles and then decide.
After some driving, i can spend pennies to refresh what will look worn.
Getting grown up at 30 :-).
my car is 2001 model, so i might have the old ones, if the previous owner did not change them, what is very unlikely. I would notice i think when beeing under the car.
Suspension will be koni sport (stiffness adjustable), it should be not much lower then standard.
Steering rack is a good...
Hello, i am planning to fit new dampers and meanwhile refreshing suspension mounts on my 172 ph2.
I have this thread about replacing standard 172 wishbone with 172 CUP.
What else do i need? Track rods are ok as the whole wheel moves a bit front? Arent they too short:)?
I had cup Turinis...
