Back leak 7.7 cc/min on idle is fine (as what I can see on my injetor test result document). I dont know the exact value where it gets wrong but at least you can compare.
Hi, a bit older thread but I am taking the same idea from a different view.....has a ph1 172 exhaust simply a longer tube on the mid section (after CAT), so I could shorten it to fit my 172 ph2? Or there are other issues with it (different position of mounts, etc.)
I bought a k-tec stealth mk2...
What I see is like two of your injectors are clogged.
How did the injectors look like when you changed the washers?
I assume the glow plug light comes on, does it?
You could try a code reader if it says combustion problems on some of the cylinders. Or simply disconnect always just one injector...
Vote for anthracit.
I have a BG too....going to color my wheels to anthracit as well. Had white wheels when got my 172, have black OZ now , the wheels get lost simply thete, but the Turinis are goint for Anthracite as soon as I have some time.
Some hints:
- It must start on the second, max third turn of the engine even if cold. If it takes longer, there is some problem why it can not build up the required pressure (either pump or injector related), or other problem.
- All the injectors should sound the same. If one does not spray the...
Hi, I suggest to buy a dci 100 and remap and drive wise. I have a dci100 since 2010 and didnt have a problem. The fact is when in winter the temp is below zero, sometimes it takes time to change from 3 to 2, but I dont push it (wait to slow down or rev match) and after a minute or two its fine...
my best was 37.3 mpg on a 220 miles trip, sticked to the speed limits and generaly rpms never passed 4000 and easy on the accelerator.
In my situation how to save fuel, use the dci, it goes on diesel so I don't use any fuel LOL.
In general, dont drive like you stole it, keep the rpms between...
I just recorded my K-tec stealth mk2 with center section and a OEM kat.
ON video sounds less noisy that it is. I the car, worst is when doing around 90 km/h and trying to accellerate hard it in 5th gear, than its anoying. Shift down to 4rd, its better, to 3r its much better sound:)
Never had a...
Hi again, some news over here,
I fitted a K-tec stealth mk2 exhaust with center section and did a cleaning after this winter.
Also the OZ Ultraleggera wheels are new, but I will like the Turinins more, just have to paint them on some darker silver color

For the upper parts, I recommend 1500 wet sand paper, it will take ages to take it down with 3000. Just keep it always wet. I did mine with 1000,1200,2000, and autoglym reisin polish (this only I did with a help of maschine, not proper polishing maschine) and here are the results. You can see...
Mine injectors were refurbed and it is not necesary to bleed them, if the pump is working correctly, the start will take more turns of the engine (up to 10), but it will push the air out. Important is you must not turn off the engine ones started after dissassebly (if not really critical things...
I think the 1*2 are fine...light cars, the F4R used in 1*2 have reasonable torque in lower revs too. Not like a 3litre diesel, but in normal usage you don't need to rev it always, usualy till 3000 rpm is enough for me.
When having fun, than till the green shift gears been shown:)
To question...
When 3 is OK, then 2 is fine also, you dont need to remove the regulator. If the high pressure pump is working, what figures do you get on the rail pressure sensor when starting and looking at the computer? Without starting it drops to -1.
Also please check if the fuel temperature sensor is...
Hi,
the error can have more states (1.DEF,2.DEF...), but the most often problem is the pressure is below the minimum required for the start ( around 400 bar). The pressure is visible on any OBD2 reader.
I have just won the fight with my dci100 on the same error code last week.
I write you some...
Only late 172 ph1 had two lambdas.
It looks more like an idle regulation problem to me.
Lambda data is been used just after the enviroment of the lambda sensor has the correct temperatures and in 30 secs it does not warm up enough I think.
good luck
Hi mates, a question about the CC. I have CC fitted to my dci100, on the RS Clio 172 I don't.
On dci I open Diesel Injection in CLIP...I see there the item Cruise control/Speed limiter, which can be set to with or without (currently set to with).
On RS I open Petron Injection...I dont see this...
If I understand right, they just lubricate the 'lock' mechanism?
I am sure I will not recieve any letter from local Renault, but I would like to help it not getting my bonnet too close to my windscreen
Re: Clio turbo out at bedford (inc following Mikes ITB car and a huge 100mph+ sideway
I am not the one to judge driving skills lol,
looking forward to get to a track for the first time with my low level racing skills and stock 172ph2 (done just 3k miles), but one has to start somewhere.
Keep...
Re: Clio turbo out at bedford (inc following Mikes ITB car and a huge 100mph+ sideway
Great driving, great car, scary sideway slide:)
I am just thinking a difusor could add some grip to the back at those high speeds to keep the back more stable?
I have changed the subframe on my dci100 (hit some wildlife 2y ago quite hard). I unbolted my steeing rack and had one of the front subframe clips spining, but I used all the spanner sets i have 4, all with different offsets one was a perfect match for the steering rack, other for the spining...
Hi,
been on a lookout for new rear shocks...at the moment I have a stock 172 ph2 non cup.
The 172 and 172CUP have the same rear shocks? I dont think so but I have seen on k-tec like they offer the same ones for both models.
Just asking as I may be upgrading later time to CUP suspension...
it works fine...I took a ride, watched the values on the laptop...dont connect the two "legs" of the sensor..it thinks its -64 degrees celsius...so will cook you:).
It reacts when I opened the window (here is -4 outside).
So if you just dissasseble it and take out the rotor of the fan and than...
so...just broke the little tube when trying to dissasseble it...LOL.
I tried to divide it into parts where it was not meant to be divided...
So just a quick question...the new one comes in one piece with the wiring and plug?
I am going to test how it work without the fan...the sensor is fine...
You can buy aftermarket splitters for your genuine bumper, I dont think you have to look for a replacement from another cars and refitt it to yours.
Here in SVK I can buy for around 14e from DEPO (a chinese producer). maybe in UK you have a DEPO seller too.
