I got £5.5k - 51k, FSH, 3owners, both cup packs, mint condition, was just recently taxed (6month), mot'd and serviced by Renault too. It also had good tyres all round, basically new brakes all round etc etc. Has gone to a good home too, another club owner! (that's 3 of the 4 owners)

What exactly do u want the car for? Day to day driving? Track days? Weekend toy/project? Clio might not be for u if power (200+bhp) is what you want most..

172cup gets my vote. But don't buy one to mod, buy one already track prepd as that will save u alot of money.

Erm.. I mean in the long run.. not straight away. Does that clear things up? E.g. A Simple problem like a split in the rubber/plastic hosing underneath the braid etc. Basically I was just warned it's better to be able to see the rubber/plastic so you can check it rather than not being able to...

I was going do this on the 7 as the original ones are all getting perished now. But I was put off and have gone for rubber ones as you won't be able to tell what condition of the rubber is like behind the braided metal, last thing you want is petrol all over the shop without warning lol! Just...
