At the end of the day, I don't see why you're getting your knickers in a twist over it. It is what it is, a Gallardo chassis.
I took it to an alternator refurbisher, couldn't be bothered myself, although I'll be either painting or polishing it so I'll end up taking it apart so thanks for the tip.

I'd rather buy older to get access to decent lenses. So far D90 bodies are about £350-400. The next level up seems to be the D300, albeit I'm pushing the budget there.

I've took it for new bearings today anyway, couldn't be arsed blagging work for bearings to do it myself.
The pulley is wrong I know, but that's interchangeable. The mounting points were correct, but backwards, but it was listed as an FD one. £160, getting my money back and just chancing that my existing one isn't the problem when my belt comes.
It's probably the air pump, it makes an horrendous...
I was actually aiming to buy one I didn't have to buy coilovers etc for, but it never transpired that way lol. Loads had bodykits etc on that ruined them when I was looking.
Spot the mistake...
Probably a blessing in disguise, because I don't think there's anything up with the current alternator. Bloke I got it from on eBay was sound enough so a refund is due my way.
Let's face it, a free job isn't going to get priority is it?! I usually get mine done as and when, just never got round to getting these done.
