Hi Guys I've been noticing this whining noise when I've been traveling upto 60. It's quiet upto about 55 then gets noiser but seems to die down at 70. It's probably the gearbox on its way out, but any other ideas? Its on 82k.

How are you getting on with KDE? I did have it on my unbuntu setup when I first conerted but it funned up gnome. I think I prefer gnome I actually like the fact its not like the windows start menu setup unline KDE's K button. I think I would be interested in using kde4 when it comes out.
