vodafone chatting sh!t ?!

My mum has been on Vodafone P&G for about 3 years now, and she wants to transfer over to contract. All well and good so far.......However she wants to keep her P&G number, so we rang up to get her PAC code, all well and good so far. Spoken to new connections when ordering the new contract, and they say they cannot transfer over P&G numbers onto a new contract?! but they can transfer over any number from any other network? What a joke?!

Just spoken to someone else and they said it is no problem. You do you wonder if some of these people just make it up as they go along!!!

im on vodafone, i was on PAYG until march last year, then asked about going on contract keeping my current number, they did it no problem, that was in a vodafone shop though, not over the phone, even still should make sod all difference.

did you do this after you had ordered your Contract or at the same time? They are now sayign you cannot change the number once the order is placed and the new number is assigned to that contract?

how easy is it to go the other way? contract to pay as you scab?

I'm going to bin my contract next month as I dont really use my phone enough...

yeah im binning my contract soon aswell, not worth it.

@Thomas - I did it at the same time, i just asked to go on contract using this number etc etc.

strange how they wont change your order....cant be that difficult for them to do surely?

Well the order hasnt actually gone through yet, as they email my mum to fax off ID + proof of address. They then rang to confirm that is all ok, so my mum says right I now want to change over my P&G number, they said initally they cannot do it. now they are saying we can do it but the handest you want is not free anymore it is £20, and to ring this other number to get your PAC code.

So she rang the number to get the PAC code, and they said its no problem to do after you have got the phone at no charge. So I rang back to the new connections and they said you cannot do it this way ?! what a joke, really not getting anywhere :( placed the order almost 2 weeks ago online!!

I regret going on a contract phone because i milk it. Pay as you go, i tend to be alot more careful when calling people and texting.

One way to do it, albeit a rather time consuming one, is to PAC ur number over to an O2 sim then PAC it back
