if you can get a cable to reuse the standard renault cd chnager(it is alpine but uses some stupid adaptor so you cant re use it) im sure you would get alot of interest. ill re check in the morning what the model no. is, if it says on the side
have to say its my stereo, wheels are all well and good but when im in my car i cant see them;), now the ice is sorted engine mods will be next.(when I get a new job)

on my 7894 i connected it direct to the battery. from whats ive read alpine 6cd changers are the exact size of the alpine one under the seat and will even fit using the same brackets.
I replaced all the speaker wiring to the tweeter and so had to take the dash out. also there was a bit of work to fasten the tweeters i bought into the original holes.
there is one availablr so that you can use the stearing wheel remote but i dont know of any that let you use the standard cd changer, mines just sat there doing nothing. :( a shame really.
i drove to work for a week with no dash, and another week with no door trim. you have to take the dash off if you want to put the tweeters back in the original location. the only alternative is in the corners of the dash maybe at the bottom of the A piller, I wanted a stealthy install with...
yeh thats my next job not decided if im going to cover the amp or have a perspex panel yet. the amp is very clever and has outputs to run fans to keep it all cool when i cover it up
its almost done now, well its all connected. Got the 6.5" speakers in the door and new tweeters in the dash, main part left is finishing the boot install. heres pics of the install so far.

just to add the most difficult part by far was getting the new speaker wire from the car into the door, I got stuck and had to get my mate to help out. It involoved taking the plug out thats in the door hinge and drilling it out so that the speaker wire will fir through
Im not sure which clio a 1.4Fidji is, but this is how i fitted 6.5" speakers in the 5.25" holes in my mk2 172. This was as far as id got by the end of yesterday, now have sound deadening to add to the doors and then a part of the door card to cut away and then to fit back on. Have to say its...
the 7894 also has an external dc-dc converter. and yes you do need to wire it direct to the battery. oh and the 7894 has a blackout feature where the display turns off, great for night time
at a local cruise ( I was not there) a car had a blow out and went into the crowd, put 2 people in hospital. Police are now there every week to block it all off
i love driving the car, but all the problems wear you down. THink ill have a german or jap car next.
Since getting the car ive had the following problems
on picking the car up the fuel warning light would not go out
Fuel light was fixed but at the same time the lights stopped working...
