its worth noteing that alor of R19 16vs are broken because of this problem so try and buy private from a damaged car and it minimises the risk of buying a duff box, never ever trust what scrap yards say, the always lie about mileage and history
get a R19 16v box for £100 and another £100 to fit it (minimum) and your sirted, or possibly you could butucher the R19 box you make good your clio 16v box and therefore keep your existing ratios, (personaly i think people worry too much about ratios, both cars are using the same engine remeber)...
sorry i thought it was just the arches, £200 sounds right to me, depends on thje colour, how common and if met.
it would need the bumper to look right mate, £100+VAT at the moment bargain
Cheers Robbie,
the track rods are OK as i have done them before but it certainly wasnt easy as they were siezed solid, im hoping that doing all these will cure my wandering steering, if not im going to have to get some one to fit a rack (which i have secondhand)
The problem is i no longer...

i know this would normaly be easy enough but after the grief i had fitting an anti-roll bar bush i thought i had better check in advance,
im fitting new track rood ends and bottom ball joints both side of my clio 16v, how hard is this? do i need a ball joint splitter? do i need to undo the...
feel the bottom of it, the top of my piper X is always cool then feel underneath and its warm,
IMHO metal is not the ideal material to make a air box from, a thick white plastic would be far more effcient
but i have seen how tight it is under a 16v bonnet with a piper X so i know its not easy

should be alot cheaper, because you can give them to the bloke to spray off the car and bolt them on your self, make sure they know this when you ask for prices
fonts and backs are alot of hassel, some people say the fronts bolt straight in but in my case they didnt, space is severly limited in the back as well, but they are still folding and very comfy, black leather seems to suit the blue paint

this is very encouraging stuff, im sure i remeber seeing loads ofposts with people experiencing problems with thiers, maybe i was mistaken, I know problems are inevitible to an extent but so far they seem few and far between.
Slugger 40k a year in a 172 is very good going, what is the...
has some one who has actaully lived with a 172 for a long time/big mileage give an opinion on what its been like? i need a newer more reliable car that can comfotable swallow big mileages, the early Mk 1 172s are good value nut i cant help buy question the reliability but this is offset when...
