My Renault specialist had a look with his camera and thought he could see a mark on one of the turbine blades, said it sounded like the turbo was on it's way. The guy from the RAC via Renault assistance thought the turbo was fine!
I tend not to drive hard when I'm close to home so it has chance to cool. I'm quite mechanically sympathetic so maybe just been unlucky, can't speak for the previous owner though!
Unfortunately the turbo in my 220 needs replacing. Developed a high pitch whine/whistle over 2k revs when under load. Very surprised by this as it's relatively low mileage and I'm under the impression this is very a unusual fault! Fortunately my Renault warranty doesn't run out until the end of...
That does sound odd to be fair. Driven my mates 308gti with Supersports on and they felt great, They do work better when it's warmer though were as the Ps4's on my old Meg just seemed to work in any condition! My theory (could be complete b****cks) is with the Clio being quite a bit lighter than...
The Ps4 is a brilliant tyre, works really well in cooler temps too. Did you not find the dry grip on the Pilot Supersports more superior though? Looking at Goodyear F1 Supersports which have an excellent reputation plus they are £40 per corner cheaper but with a 225 section. It's going take me...
Want to try the Goodyear f1 supersports so interested in opinions on whether a 225 section as opposed to 205 section would work? The Yaris has a 8j wheel as opposed to the Clio's 7.5j. Pretty sure Michelin now supply the 4s in a 225/40/18.
Anybody running 225/40/18's with the standard 7.5j wheels off the 220 Trophy. Pilot Supersports aren't available in 205/40/18 anymore and alternatives such as the Pilot sport 4 s and Goodyear F1 Supersports aren't either! I'm a big fan of the Pilot sport 4 I have on but fancy something a bit...
Good luck with the viewing mate. DTM are local to me, they always seem to have a good selection of Clio's in. Be mindful that the steering columns on the Cups only have rake adjustment and not reach which can be a problem for taller drivers. You'll need to drive it home via Hartside! ;)

Suppose all cars can have issues, it's how they're dealt with that matters. The diff bearings went on my Megane, fortunately it was still in warranty so they changed the box with no hassle. It is a shame Honda aren't sorting it, such a good car as you say.
A 300 Trophy will grip more and give you the punch you want. I've just gone from a mk3 Meg 275 cup-s to a Clio 220 trophy. Whilst the Clio has loads of grip and is extremely capable it simply doesn't have the grip or composure of the Meg. The A35 might be quicker in a straight line than a Meg...
No mate, would have been nice but the standard system is OK if you don't play it too loud! 😆
Got Android auto which is handy and will get the Rs monitor put on by Stage X. Want the steering in constant sport/race mode, it's too light in normal mode.
Sounds decent enough. Pretty quiet in normal mode but does burble a lot. Makes that farty sound on the up shifts in sport/race which is a good laugh. No droning on the motorway which is a plus! I'm sure if I take the back seats out (like I did in the Megane) it would sound even better! Space in...
