The car came with new Michelin PS4's on the front and the original PS2's on the rear ( still with 6mm ). Have swapped them round as I'd rather wear the old ones out and then replace with PS4's. The PS2's are clearly a very good tyre but the PS4's give far better traction when accelerating hard...
Here's a few shots from today plus a farewell one of the 200 (), appreciate they're not best! I'm head over heels! Loving the LSD, very effective. Longing for the some warm summer days. Going to France in July, very tempted to take this instead of her boring A3 1.6TDI!
Collected it today! Weather has been very poor and have been working so only done a few miles. Initial thoughts are, WOW! Yes it obviously has got more grunt than the 200 but it's the steering feel that stands out so far. Weather looks dry tomorrow so going to head up to Northumberland for a...
Just traded my Clio 200 for a Megane 275 cup-s, sad but excited at the same time!
Interested to hear from anyone who's done the same, cheers!
Goodbye Clio
Hello Megane
Wales is spot on for b-roads. I have to make do with Northumberland, some class roads with hardly any traffic! Was up there on Saturday, lots of fun! £442 sounds very reasonable, is re-map recommended with that?
Sounds like you've been very busy!
The monitor is cool but probably more of a distraction if you're not tracking it. Fancy an Akrapovic exhaust at some point but they're pricey. Might check out the cost of a Scorpion or Miltek one. The standard isn't too bad, certainly better than my old...
35 mpg will probably be as good as it gets, unless you're driving at 40 to 50 all day! Hopefully your gear selection issue was just due to it being cold. I run just below the recommended tyre pressures of 2.3 bar/33.3psi ( front ) and 2.1bar/30.5psi ( rear ), the middle of your tyres could...
Looks smart. Sometimes wish I'd went for Silver, Black is a b**ch to keep clean! Will run better on premium fuel, v-power is my tipple. Helps with kangarooing and cold starting. How do you find the brakes? One if the most impressive points of the car for me.
You definitely need 100% proof of new belts, you want to enjoy the car with the peace of mind knowing they're done. Fingers crossed mate.
You can get a cup rack fitted but at quite some expense I suspect!
I use mine as a daily too so opted for the standard chassis and standard seats as well. Find it a great compromise for performance ( will still out handle most cars on the road ) and comfort. The Recaros are obviously a class product but wear much quicker than the standard seats when used...
Try T W and S Barker ( Renault Specialists ) just off Scotswood rd near Newcastle city centre. Very trustworthy, good prices and good knowledgeable service.
Finally got an answer today about my peeling steering wheel from RUK. They have offered to cover 95% of the cost including fitting, that means I have to pay £27. Very happy with the outcome considering the peeling is pretty minimal! Was really impressed with the guy I dealt with, he seemed to...
Sounds perfect, excuse the pun! Didn't want anything that droned too much on longer runs but definitely want the prominence when accelerating. Just need to be sensible and finish paying for my holiday first!
Debating whether to remove my Clio badge but it is nice to remind the ignorant that...
