Nah not for this bucket, just gonna go have a look at it tomorrow and roughly measure up how much to drop it by and just drop it.
Aint putting money into a 1.2 8v as I don't see a point in spending too much on it because I'll be selling it on again shortly.
Cheers for the input edde.
My point exactly. I have to buy new springs now because of the cracked one I have at the back so I don't wanna buy something that's not gonna lower it to the amount I want and have to buy another set, which is why I'm here asking for a bit of guidance lol.
My car doesn't really sit high as it is though so that's why I'm wondering if 40mm would be low because looking at it now 60mm will be sitting in the arches lol. Best to go measure the distance from tyre to arch I guess..
That's the thing, I dunno how much. Posted in the suspension section asking about a few things because I hear non sports are a fecker to lower as they don't drop by stated amount. So hoping for some feedback but none as of yet.
Whens the coilovers coming? Which 15" yiu going for?
Tigger get your finger out and do a group PM ;-)
I'm happy enough for thay but I generally did laugh when you said 'side effects' haha! Up to yourself anyways if you wanna.
Looking to sort a set of springs now, found out I've got a cracked rear spring
Recently found out I've got a cracked rear spring and my MOT is at the end of Jan.
Now I'm not asking how low to go because I can work that out myself. I do wanna know though (because I've heard this on the site) is that is there any point in 35/40mm lowering because its been said its 60mm or...
The ones that came with the car lol No name, 5 spoke ones. GFs dad had them on when I bought the car.
The guy I am buying the wheels from said there is around 5mm of thread left on them.. am I right in thinking this is a bit low? Don't wanna buy these then have to change 4 tyres :/.
Ack it's a long story, basically got weak battery acid thrown up the side of it. So that is my last thing to get sorted as it's gonna be ~250 quid.
Well get a few pics up and try to get a few things put on before the meet :rasp: I'll hopefully have these new alloys on, lowered and mudflaps off!
You any good at painting / spraying? I haven't the b*lls to do it myself haha. I need the whole passenger side of my car done because it's got lacquer peel the whole way up. Got quoted ~250 for the whole thing to be sanded, primed and sprayed. So gotta save for that.
Gotta see if Tigger will...
Yeah should be someplace in the projects thread 'Poverty Spec Clio' is the title I think.
FKs for 200 is good, should get them if you can. Get them setup and ready to rock for the meet ;).
You spraying any bits and pieces yourself? Seen the box of cans there.
Good job. Don't worry about how the car looks cause tbh mine looks like a bag of sh*te and will continue to look that way until I get some bits sprayed and re-sprayed!
15" white and maybe a 50mm / 40mm drop on springs. Will measure the rough amount of space I have when I buy / fit the alloys...
Not sure, it was just me and Tigger who went to the Portrush Air Show last year in September. Hopefully it'll be at least 3 this time lol. Always good to see more faces. I've got some springs to be ordered tomorrow and have a set of OZ alloys possibly bought for this weekend.
When are you...
Welcome, another NI member.
No tints or mudflaps, they will make it look like a van and ugly (respectively).
Plans look good, not sure on the alloys but will see when you post up the update.
Come along to the next meet?
