BenR, might be pming u in the future to see what can be done to my 2.0 rover T in the kit.
Ive done cardiff-llandudno twice in my car and about 10times with my parents, and that dick has never caught me/us. Although I once spotted a van, and luckily i as stuck behind a slowcoach, that i had almost overtaken a few minutes ealier- if i had, i would probably have been banned!:oops...
yeah yeah, those are the wheels, i think.
ive defo seen it posted on here, its annoying me i dont know where to find it though, coz it was just inside a thread which went off topic- almost impossible to find!
Seen this one b4 on the site, was really excited when i saw it, as i knew its a cliosporter...
Spotted in nottingham near the A52 this afternoon. It had side skirts and was bright yellow. had weird wheels, 17inch (approx),who is it!.
i know its someone on this site!!!
is that ure actual no. plate or just a show plate?
Been looking around for no. plates for my sister, wanted to find G3 MMA, but i dont think its anywhere, and it wud be slightly expensive!
If yoz has black wheels it could be his with the carbonfibre bonnet!

was getting excited when i saw a fellow welshman had posted in the spotted forum- thought it was the 172 i was racing!
After getting that dickhead driver in the warrior to pull in, I saw that you came up behind me rather quickly (CE03 *** or CN03 *** - cant remember).
As soon as i had room we had a little blast from 80->, but u must have been in 5th the whole time, as it took u a while but at 115 u just...
i used to love calibras, untill my dad said that a calibra was a cavaliar with a bodykit (having had both as company cars)! doesnt make it as appealing now does it!
oh i know, and i dont rest on the fact that my car only has 25ish bhp more- they aint that much slower! But, the fact remains, it does look like a little black box bbq doesnt it!
true- but u have to have insurance by law. (even though they may not pay out!)
dink- nah kits going well, or else the question wud be- can u fit a 2.0l rover k-series engine into a clio!!!!!
hmm, but think, the 172 engine bay doenst look that much more full than the one in a 1.4 16v. 1.2 is a bit smaller though. (especially the 2004 1.2 16v! looks like a BBQ!!!)
Also, how does the engine differ, do they get the extra 600cc by longer pistons? or wider ones too? if its just...
like the colour- hate the wheels! sorry its a matter of opinions i supose, id get it lowerd by 40mm and get some blackened 16inch oz superlegeros on there!
Is this at all possible. im not thinking of doing it, but i was just wondering then...
If you dropped the 2.0l engine into my 1.4 04, and it fits nicely, and u have all the pipe work done nicely and neatly as it is on the 1.4, and then put the 1.4 cover back on, how wud they ever know, unless...
Ive never seen someone use "thanks" so many times in one thread! lol
The new engine (weather it be new/rebuilt) will be fine...
tbh, if they have a few engines spare then theyll give u a brand new one, coz it;ll cost them alot to strip ures down and re-build it if theyve got surplus new...
I always do it out of habit and i always park it in 1st as i have to reverse my car onto my drive as its a steep slope into the garages.
my mums saab u have to put it in reverse to get the key out of the ignition! good practice i supose!
Well if u get a 5/600, ud have to re-mortage ure house to afford the fuel bills!
I must admit I do LOVE the old SL (especially the Barabus 7.3l one!) but if you were to get it, you HAVE to get a private plate, because an N-reg SL just looks like someone whos bought an old Merc coz its a merc...
Nah the vts are quite a bit quicker. But I pull alot on a VTR from 100-120ish in the 1.4
Oh and thats another thing, seen 128 on the clock (which is probaly more like 122 GPS)
The difference between a 1.4 16v and the 1.2 16v is much greater than it is between the 1.4 and 1.6. As Dink_16v would say, (remembering hes got 17s and lots of ice), there is absoultely NO difference between his 1.6 and my 1.4
And the insurance group on the 1.6 is 4 higher than the 1.4! So...
I was going to get one instead of the 1.4 16v, but its ALOT more expensive, and although it would be great on the motorway, I just feel it would lack the fun that you get in small engined petrol hatchbacks!?
When you got into the car, did you even think for one moment that you were uninsured? If so, then I doubt you would have speeded. Did you go for a quick spin around the block or go for a proper drive somewhere?
If Mitchy is correct, then Id be very worried myself If I were you, and the...
I get alot more tailgaters now that Ive got a visible exhaust! I love it though, especially when the person gets pissed off. I just stick it at 30/31 (so that they cant complain if I go BELOW the speed limit) and then drop it to 2nd If theres a safe/higher speed limit road ahead! I really do...
