Atomic.
ive got 15s with 195/45 No scrubbing at all!! even over bumps at speed
only dropped back 30mm at mo half temped to go a bit lower. and the front ive got 35mm drop springs.
it sits just right! ok its not slammed but atleast it looks alright. might ave to get myself some...
Ive had the same prob all i wanna do is change the drivers side lock. can is it poss to get one from scrappy and have it altered!?!
or do i have to buy the lock "offically" from renault which matches my key?!
also... ive lost my spare key, so ive only got 1....... can i buy a spare? or is it...
If i wanted somthink that could tell me all those measurements (of course not down to 0.01 of a secound but close, and it didnt break the bank i would def get one.
but at mo... £40 needs to go towards somthink else for the car :)
Mate it looks the dogs b*llox def go for it!!
plus ur not changing your alloys, so not decrese in performance or trouble of the insurance, its all good
Normally your ICE is covered upto £500 worth nways. the alloys should be no difference in premium if there is it should be pretty small.
£1000 is a good price fully comp with NCB and just passing
also try norwhich union, esp if u get pass plus!
Ok mate save this to your favs coz its bloody usefull. if u scroll down just over half way down the page theres some uiput boxes for your orignals wheels + Tyres and your new ones.
it will fig out the difference your speedo will be showing...
well its hard to get an exact!
i.e. u by 35mm drop springs, it might sit at only 30mm drop for first month then drop to 35. but could go as far as 40mm
the back, isnt an exact measurement either. go between 30-40 drop, oyu will be fine!
if u say 30, and anything extra is a bonus.
btw 30-40 drop on 15" 195/45 you will have plenty of space under the arches and shouldnt experience any rubbing, unless ur fully loaded and like to take speed bumps at high speed :p
Cheapest like me:
Rear torsion bar 30-40mm drop, easy do the job yourself.
front on springs £40-£50, fairly easy, but if u dont know what your doing i.e. spring compressors, removing the shocks etc. find some1 who is.
other option, buying full suspension kit £150-£250
coilovers -...
Ok....
ive got a nasty scratch that goes across two doors (dont ask ) metcallic paint.
both doors need rubbing down, bit of filler sanding etc. then respraying both whole doors. i got quoted....... £140-£160
but my dad used to be in mechanic and knows some1 who will do it for £70...
Rally you did the right thing tho, walking on past, my dad has tw*ted a bloke before for breaking into his car, and my dad had the police on his back!
in your case there were four of em, so u could got f*cked up. at least now they kinda caught and should be made feel like dirty little bitches...
LOL
well mate from what i gathered you cant go wrong with 16"
but what ever your gonno notice a different when u starting swaping alloys, different profile tyres, lowering etc.
mostly definalty, ive got 15" and even after lowering em, im thinking... hm.... maybe a bit lower? doesnt look exactly how i pictured.
Def bigger wheels!
i think ive told ya before mate
5 door, crystal green/silver (not sure colour) mark 1 phase 1 1.4RT, 15" wheels, lowered 30/40 mm. other than that pretty much standard for now. awiting sticker in post :D
lol yea.
i was thinking the same thing with my 1.4 mate, i thought cant be much difference with just 15" with low profiles, but alloys feel alot heavier. lost slight acceleration. and can feel everybump in the road. its the price u pay ;)
ok i drive from bournemouth to torquay reg thats 110miles roughly.
last trip i was carying 4 alloys in the back and i noticed big different in mpg, coz normally the only wait my lil 1.4 carries is me.
Prob gettng scrubbage, or your feeling the road alot more with bigger wheels and lower profiles. not to worry about, unless its causeing damage.
my car sounds like its gonno fall apart when its on a rough road. mainly coz its lowered and had low profiles, so the ride quailty is lost.
