erm im not totally sure but i think they are fixed on with self tappers and bonbding sealant.
so wouldnt be the easiest thing to have a go at. but have a go if u f**k it up just tell him u don want them anymore and walk out.
and yea u need to drill holes into your body work, line it all up...
ive noticed tescos wont give u quotes online on cars over insurance group 10/12
as for CIS, i always heard they were quite strick on any kinds of modifications?
do u reckon they will be alright with Alloys and lowring then?

p.s. ooops forgot to mention, generally if u paid in full and not monthly then i think u might be tied down to the first 12 months i.e. u wont get money back  but its worth asking! u wont know till u have asked.
Here check this thread out, plenty of posts, with plently of good tips! esp...
yup exactly. if u end your insurance u get your premium back for the months u are not being insured for!
honestly i sh*t u not ;) Rin them up tell them u wish to cancell your cover, and wish to enquire wot refund u will be getting back.
In theory then with TFPT i can could get away with modding the engine aswell?
because come to think about it, i was told that if your TPFT they dont actually take a look at your car unless ur making a claim against some1 else? Which could be a problem?
but then again, their insurance company...
Nah u have made a good point there, if my car was worth more than £2000 i would prob go fully comp because i wouldnt be able to afford losing it. as it stands tho im good on TFPT, for now.... :D
But the point with fully comp, is that if you were fully comp insured and no declared modifications, they might not pay up the ££ for the modification not declared or might not pay at all?!? is this right?
Woooo.......
so ICEman in your personally opinion....... and i honestly wouldnt shouting out loud that if your TFPT u dont have to declare modifications.
but in your IMO me being TPFT, and at date just haivng the alloys and lowering of 30mm. if i had a crash, as im TPFT i would not have...
Ok mate IMO if you have the ££ to spend then do it, but do u really need it? i.e. track days and 1/4 miles times yes
but are u gonno use it as much as u think?
i.e. using it to take the piss outta ppl on the road, u dont really need too coz u have a V6. plus do u really need to be going...
Yea ill vouch its a peice of p*ss, but u need a bit of tube that will fit in the plug and allow you to pour to the oil into it.
even better if u have a bit of tub which is slighty larger in width, cut about 2 inchs up one end, and push it together so it makes a funnel shape, stick that in the...
shhhh twosugars ;)
Nah honestly insurance companies dont class colour codeing as a modifcation, CIS rep came around an noted my old fiesta as standard when it quite obviously was fully colour coded, and u can tell with those old mark 3s
What if your TPFT? :D
Ive told CIS about my Alloys, and yet to have a call from them so hopeing they are call with them. and dont really want to tell them that im lowering the car 30mm all round. sooooooooo....... i can get away with not telling them about lowering my car? coz im TPFT? :D
