Buy a Haynes manual and do the coolant changes yourself....save a fortune and learn something also.If you think its beyond you ask someone who knows a bit about cars to give you a hand. And theres plenty of helpful peeps on here who'll give advice.
You passed me today at around 3pm heading toward Asda.
Thats the fourth 197 i've seen around here in the last few days.My 182 Cup is soon going to be so rare ;)
Has anyone changed theirs for a better item?
If so and it wasn't a Renault wheel how did you set-up the cruise-control buttons etc...or is this not possible?
The steering wheel is THE biggest let down in the 182 Cup :(
Are these any good/a good deal ?. Has anyone fitted these and what else were needed....just a pair of sub-frames?

I've owned a 172 Cup and now have a 182 Cup.Theres nothing in it for day-to-day driving IMHO.The 182 is safer with the ABS/ESP etc but thats about it.
So,after reading all the topics about 197's v 182 Cup's v 172 FF etc etc etc am l right in saying that with the same driver, all cars being...
My mum and dad live about 100 meters from me.But instead of walking round to see them l get in the car,do a left to Whitefield, onto the M60,then the M66 and come off at Pilsworth, then along Croft Lane and back up to their house...must be about 3.5 miles...never clocked it though !
Hitting the...
My works give me a van and free fuel....but l'd rather be stuck on the M60 in my Cup than in a free 1.8D Escort van !
Every drive an event.I even open my window and shower door whilst showering just to look at it!
Now 'thats' sad ;)
.....well more of a nightmare then to a dream really !
Following on from another recent topic i'll tell you what it was.........
I had sold my RB 182 Cup.I didn't dream the selling bit but it had happened....and l was on my way to pick up my new car......a 911 Turbo in black no less...
My first Renault was my 172 Cup after a lifetime with Pugs and Escorts. It really was a new lease of driving life for me....what a fantastic car...every trip like a Special Stage ;)
You could get another 172 Cup in good condition l'm sure. And if you want to keep it forever l'm also sure you...
Theres a few reasons why l am thinking about it.
1.Just looked at a thread with some pictures of a RB 182 without the stripes and it looked good.
2.Theres a bird l may ask out if l see her at a match in a couple of weeks...maybe the stripes would leave her thinking l'm some kind of boy...
As above......after two years of ownership should l now go for the more mature look (well l am nearly 38 !) and remove the stripes....or leave them on?
