I got rid of a mint 172 Cup for my RB 182Cup.Nothing in it performance wise except in the wet.
But for a silver non-cupped 182 ?...........only if it was a straight swap IMHO
I think i'll nip the bolts up first and wipe away any oil...then just keep an eye on it for a few miles and see what happens !
Lets hope its not going to be like my old 205 Gti which was nearly mint but had a job-a-week to be done !
Just spotted a small amount of oil coming from the rocker gasket...days after the warranty ran out :(
Is it an easy job to replace as it looks like the inlet manifold has to come off and its gaskets replaced too ?
Well...l did omit one... :o
I went down this really tight country lane... in places not wide enough for two cars to pass. Not a good idea because you never get out of second gear and theres always the danger of a tractor coming the other way !
So...l spotted this turn in to a farm,reversed...
172 Cup if you don't want ABS/ESP etc.
182 Cup if you want them + A/C + the exhausts out of the back + RB colour
Nothing in it performance wise for everyday driving unless its very wet.
You mis-read what l asked...and that was about the cars with ecerything else being the same (ie driver, fuel, road etc etc etc etc etc etc) !
I'd love to see a vid of you keeping up up with an F430 whilst driving a Trophy.Sounds like you also read 'that' copy of Evo !
Had one in front of me going onto the slip road of the M66 at Ramsbottom.Theres a really tight left-right before the slip road opens out straight. He was about four car lengths ahead and he floored it before l had straightened up.
He was owned ! ;)
I had to back off before the slip road...
LOL
I bought my 182 Cup after loving my 172 Cup soooo much.Just wanted ABS (Which the 172 Cup DOES need) and loved RB with the stripe and darker alloys.
But the 182 Cup interior is a little bland for sure.Performance wise theres nothing in it IMHO.Yes...maybe to 60 on a dry track the 172...
