bout 6 months ago i purchased a set of lockwood white dials for my 172...when they arrived they were totally wrong, got my 50 or 60 quid back and told em id send em sum pics so they could get it right but couldnt be arsed wiv it in the end.:oops:
40 to 8o quid m8, wot tyres u got to...iv got A539 and they have a ridge around them which doesnt help, mines got oz too bin dropped n rolled but still catches on full lock on one side at the back...37mm offset. :oops:
its jus a shorter stick so has less far to travel so it is "quick", iv got one n id never go back to the normal stick, big difference. in 5th n reverse the stick bears slightly round instead of straight doesnt take much gettin used to. had it fitted by them as im not spanner profficient. :oops:
so...with these tbs, more horses is more strain on parts, wot essential upgrades would u need to match it e.g. better clutch...or r the standard parts capable? :oops:
As the 172 was out b4 the cup there r those who wouldve opted for that "slightly" better performance, id still have my 172 as iv always had crap old cars and wouldnt want to lose the luxuries. And u can still tune it up anyhow as clio mods r improving slowly with turbos n tbs n stuff, iv got all...
Im having my engine fettled with soon, so would like to do b4 n afta rr figures to c if my hard earned queens royal sterling has bin well spent or not. So where can i go n how much is it roughly? :oops:

i asked dawsons, i think they r the ones next to k-tek, they tried to tell me 350 a door and bullsh*ted me wiv a load of jargon for the reason...they obviously didnt want my business.
i rang demon tweeks about there tb conversion they told me they dont do it for the 172, even tho its in the catalogue, as they couldnt sort out the electronics they reckoned.
ye, i got 17s ,got 37mm offset and one wheel at the back rubs on full lock but it doesnt help with my tyre selection...AR539 i think...they have a ridge nr the edge.
have u tried hi-spec for brake prices? the 4 pot kit they do for mine is just under a grand {queens royal english pound}...thats fitted if ur lazy...k-teks is 1300ish for just the kit, altho their tuning parts r well priced as i have several!
best u get some phatter ice, i gots k-tek twin 3.5 exit, its loud. when i first got it me bird complained that it was too loud and said she didnt want to drive it...like id let er, he he. :devilish:
