going to be getting rid of my B&M shortshift, the mk1 172 stick seems to look better than the mk2, im guessing its compatable? any 172 mk2 owners got one in theirs? not actually seen one up close in detail, any pics? (yes i know its just a stick but it would help!) if so i will be looking for...
soaking under drivers seat on mine, only just noticed it, how do you know if your air con drain is blocked, would it not work properly? where exactly is the grommet also? how big is it? idiot guide pls
unless you are doing a few trackdays and are fashion conscious of the minimal rubber look i would stay with 45's, if you have lowered suspension with 40's it is a harder ride, ppl with 17's usually have 40's because they like to fill the arches with bling instead.
plenty of skid advice^. you can never use your mirrors too much, look out for ppl slowing down in front, ppl on the phone or talking to passengers etc, if you have a passenger yourself you dont need to look at them to talk eh, try to read several cars in front & give yourself room/distance to...
shame the weathers crap at the mo Mark, ice everywhere no chance of full throttle eh, unless im in a mega hurry i always warm the engine for a few mins anyhow, as for mpg etc i think its the last thing on the mind of somebody who has any engine work.
mudflaps should be left for evo/subaru owners, they look laughable on a clio, but then im not a fan of the stickyback plastic brigade. pointless to trim them right down as they wont be doing much of a job eh
bought one for the missus, i put 'invisible sheild' on it, a clear plastic protective cover (used on helicopter screens apparently) do a google search, its about £15. works a treat.
i know its a cup..just everybody refers to it as a 1.2 ;-) how much was the helix and is it a necessary mod to go with the rest? as i am...clutch illiterate, what are the benefits of the helix? road manners etc? prob having tb's so just trying to get as much info, ta
i use the mx510 with an x-trac pro hs pad, 8 buttons, 4&5 on the side i use for leaning, quality mouse, i tried the logitech lazer cordless & found a very slight delay in online fps, tried a few razers also & unless you are a pro gamer the 'on the fly' is a waste of time. (i have my mouse...
get yourself a program called 'audiograbber' which turns your cd's into mp3 format (very easy to use), then as above use an mp3 splitter to cut up your favourite tunes (as 20secs ish is plenty for a ringtone eh), then download to your phone with an usb bluetooth dongle.
Yasser (who i think has moved abroad) has lsd on his cup with shorter gear ratios all work done by Mark Fish, the car is a handful on the road, but worthwhile as he did a lot of trackdays.
lots of choice for a 172, any custom place would be good as you can choose the noise level, if you are near i recomend prospeed in cardiff, excellent customer service.
not a fan of the splitter, front or back, i guess it can make the car look lower, but on the back wherever it is joined it looks hideous, i see it as unecessary bodykit waiting to fall off at some point, just my 2pence soz ppl.
