my dad has had an acer for about 3 year now, not had any probs with it at all and me dad is a bit of a clampit on computers! Build quality seems quiet good also!
Although I have just bought an IBM thinkpad and the built quality of the thing is amazing! really impressed! Highly recommended...
open internet explorer, tool, internet options, connections, lan settings and make sure nothing it ticked in there, including automaticaly detect settings.
I've just upgraded and bought a new laptop. I am going to start using it more now its a decent one.
Can anyone recommend any decent apps or tools, etc that are worth installing?

k800i, k850i and similar phones are great phones and cameras and usually not much more. iphone, n95 etc are all so much more than just a camera phone, but if your not bothered about using the additional functionality they come with then there is no point getting them and the k850i would be spot...
iv used avast and zonealarm pro for 4 year and never had a single problem. I have full control as to what apps get net access too. cant fault either at all.

only thing is if you have service provider firmware (which most have unless you bought it sim free) chances are there wont be any updates available, even though there will be loads of newer firmwares.

most nokias do really, but they are complex phones compared to others like the k800i. the k800i might be quicker and not crash but it does fuk all in comparison.
Nokia are always releasing new firmwares to fix bugs, but considering what you get with the N95 its worth a few small probs.

I thought that the url had to be typed slightly different to normal with it being in a php page compared to a normal html one, but i was wronnnggggg!!
