    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Ahhh.. Does make sense now it's explained. Thankyou. Well I don't want no wild cams or worser mpg so that's out the window. Any idea on why someone's mentioned uprating the valves when rs2-ing?

As in what way do tou mean wild Dan? Explain.

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

So if I was to take the rs2 route let mike map it. Anymore info on choice of cams? Some people saying 197 cams, others saying 438's. I don't want a huge drop in mpg as this is and will be my only car. Main priority is reliability.

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Hi Andy. Not sure wether that comment was ment for me or Jared. But thanks for the advice. Clios in need of a little more power. Been 4 years now so I fancy having some engine fun with it. Lol. Oh and sorry for not messaging you back via Facebook. Was the night I was going on holiday so I was...

Lol. Not a promise but if its done then no problem. Still pondering on mapping though.

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Lol. Work horse maybe then. Also I'm thinking of buying some kw's and modifying the hole spacing. Got to have a search though and see. Don't understand why they don't do 60mm. Annoying. Turbo'ing isn't something I want. Seems to pricey and I like the N/A side. An Evo is something I don't...

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Phil i messaged you a little while back asking about suspension options etc as I was wanting kw3's but there not made with the 60mm spacing. I'm still stuck on this too btw as I want new suspension. Ive sorted the inner arms. Tre's. injectors and got all my dash lights off. The rear is...

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Thank you budgie. Will give them a call. If I choose to rs2,197 cams and arp rods would anything else be worth doing at the same time? I know obviously that fitting new cams the belts and phaser would then be done but I mean anything else big that would be worth doing. Want it reliable.

Very interesting read. Thanks for the link btw. I guess the kits are still available without being in a group buy?

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Ah right. Thankyou for explaining. I have no idea On Engine building or understanding but I want to learn. Would you suggest that if I choose what I want, would I be better off sourcing all the bits and then finding someone to fit or just leave it all up to them to source and fit?

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

10bhp from cams and £1k price tag seems high to me. Cams could be a option but only when I've found what I'm going for. I know my engine is strong and going well but it's not going to last forever. I only use the car to pop to tesco, 100mile trip down the motorway and trackdays. I don't drive...

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

36mpg? Is that motorway though as I'm back and fall west to South Wales regularly so don't want to be doing silly mpg. You got a build spec at all? Who mapped yours for you?

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Now where talking. My mpg is just touching 40 on the motorway and 33-36 around town etc. my bad for not explaining a little more. I think that's ok anyway lol. I don't want to be, or have the fastest car in the world no but a little more grunt would be nice. Only person local to me is sharky...

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Would Forging an engine be the most reliable? Or is that only if I'm chasing big figures? I'm a novice so bare with the silly questions. I'm learning.

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Whats the drawbacks budgie? Any do's and donts is advice so go on. Surly putting cams into a 135k engine is ok yes. But that won't last forever? Maybe I'm asking about what's the best route to take for a build? What should be changed etc etc to still have a reliable engine.

    Power/reliability. What/how. Cost effective?

Ok. Quick run through. Owned my FF 182 for nye on 4 years now. Been thinking about selling and moving on etc but the clio ticks most boxes for me so I'd rather keep and enjoy it. After 4 years though I'm craving a little more power, nothing ridiculous or big but 200bhp would be nice. I've just...

    Vodafone £3 abroad deal.

Right ok. First time abroad and I want to use my phone. Voda said that you call 5555 and opt to be part of the euro traveller where my Uk policy is taken with me abroad and no big rates aslong as the £3 is paid. But what I don't understand now is do I ring 5555 everyday to opt for this or is it...

Anyone likely to have a rear disk handy? Needs to have a good bearing, condition on disk doesn't really matter. Just need to borrow it for a couple of days and you can have it back. It's not going to be fitted. Will be taking as a spare only.

Ok. Did a little search here last night and didn't find alot so ill post and ask instead. All oil leaks btw. Got oil blowing over onto my two water pipes as they head into the bulk head. (Matrix pipes). Oil breather seems to be pushing oil out. Ive checked the level and its ok, not over...

    still misfiring

If you've changed your injectors, 02 & lambda sensor then it could be your carbon canister. Mine was missing with the EML light flashing on/off. Changed 2 injectors and my canister and all is fine now. If your smelling fueling check all connections are ok etc.

SERV, ABS and ESP lights on start up

Any more info on this? Just had my car on a clip. Sorted some electrical faults, put a new steering angle sensor and 2 2nd hand injectors fitted and was fine. Get half way home and my abs, tc and serv lights have just popped up. Started to come in when I was braking. Now I'm home they are on...
