If you keep your foot on the brake after braking hard (ie coming off a motorway and keeping your foot on the brake whilst you have stopped) this will mean that the heat that has built up will be drawn away through the pads faster than the areas exposed to the air.This is a cause of warping.

Okay....just got the car back after Reno had to wait a while for the new strut washers. The grinding noise has gone BUT they have said that the anti-roll bar bushes need replacing....and that means another wait for parts and another trip back! Thank god this has happened before the...

I had the mod done over 12 months ago and now 'that' noise seems to be back. Its coming from the front o/s suspension and it a squeeking noise when going slowly over speed bumps and a grinding noise when on full lock. It going back in of course to be done under warranty (only a few months...

Yes...this does sound like the obvious answer.However she is one clever lady and she must have tried this and it won't work. Still after a program for this but thanks for your help so far :)

I have been sent a file to my pc (running Vista) which is a doc file. On the properties of this file under details there is a section that says Author. What does this mean if the name in it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the doc?

Love reading old reviews of the 205Gti. Got some old mags from 1987 and it was a hell of a car back then (best one of the 1980's in Performance Car)....but the 182 is so much better. Its good looking back...compare a 205Gti to an original Mini Cooper...no contest.

Just going onto the M60 at the Barton Bridge from Eccles.....looked very tasty........and the bird was ok too ;)

I bought my 182 from Motorpoint,Burnley last year.It had a temperature sensor fault which caused the car to go 'limp'! I took it to Reno and it was sorted....no hassle.Motorpoint also gave a good trade in on my 172 Cup (£7300,Dec 03,14k) against the 182.
