got a ktec decat on mine, would only really get it for the noise as its much more raspy. also it got rid of the 60mph drone i get with my ktec supersports exhaust. sounds epic when flooring it though. Its also revs alot free-er top end.
only the early early phase 1 172 have a single lambda sensor later 172 and 182 have 2 sensors.... personally i would of thought it was the last lambda sensor that would need changing as thats the one that reads the fumes coming out after the gases have gone through the cat. might be wrong...
Yeah they did 16" oz f1 alloys as an optional extra when the phase 1 first came out, not sure if you can still buy them from Renault bet they would cost a fortune
The rev limited is to let you know your over revving it, it is a optimum gearshift changer light, also has anyone weighed the alloy bonnets my car has one and it's proper lightweight
just get the f**king thing if you can afford it. doesn't matter if your 17 or not!! dont drive like a tosser and you will be fine. I dont understand the whole your 17 you shouldnt get one, how many cups/172 are wrecked every winter from people 21 and over??
My first quote on my 172 was £2850 I had 3ncb and a clean licence if u can afford it get it... But one thing I overlooked was general maintenance and running cost you need to take it all into account
My w-reg 172 has alloy bonnet and shift light, think it's mainly the early cars that have these more than likely for cost issues, although on another note would it not be linked to around the same time that Renault changed the cat on them? And the alloy bonnets are crazy light wonder how much...
I lowered my old Clio 1.2 60mm on apex springs, with standard shocks I drove with them for 2 years and had no issues at all, all it is is that it will wear the shocks out quicker coz the shocks are put under more pressure, so if shocks are inngoid condition they will be fine but if they are...
right if you want it quite then dont go for a supersports system at all they are louder mine was noticably louder when i fitted it and another thing dont get a decat those 2 components mixed together (supersports+decat) sound fantastic but are very loud on full throttle.
supersports with decat...
the light never came on for me then again i only have the one sensor measuring before the cat so the decat is not getting measured on anything. definatly well worth getting if you want it raspy ill be able to get videos up by sunday if you aint had it done by then
i have got the same exhaust system with a normal decat (mans version lol) and if anything it made the exhaust a much better sounding system its more tiny and raspy and i didnt notice getting any louder unless you put your foot flat on the floor or blip the throttle on down shifts.
The ktec...
Sounds like top mounts might of gone I changed mine when I put my raceland coilovers on, and what did you have trouble fitting them with? Are you sure they are fitted correctly mine where on within an hour
Probably less
