    My new toy

yeah but your raptor will fly so much better in windy conditions ;) I only fly my Trex 450s (mind you it does have a hughes 500e scale body on it) when the wind is light....no fun at all in wind, it can fly, but no fun for me battling the wind.... ;)

    My new toy

Cool, now just hope for a windless day ;) if its anything like my trex450s it won't like windy days ;) Enjoy Simon

    My new toy

Not a cheap hobby this RC Heli thing, is it ;) Most 30/50 nitro heli's, with all things required (including fuel, starting gear, electrics and Tx) are around £800-£1000 new. Good call on the Raptor, you can't really go wrong with a Raptor and good call with the 7 channel, much better than...

    197 Cup Autocar Sub £15k - video

Good vid, I was looking at one the other day at a renault garage and it did look good.....one of the quotes "not very fast in a straight line" is the only reason I will not get one, if only RUK had put the megane 230bhp turbo engine in it ;) they could have my money now....(still they are a bit...

    getting a capri!

yeah, I had a capri 2.8 V6 a good few years ago, was great at drifting, even if you didn't want the bloody thing to lol ;) shocking handling std, makes the Clio V6 feel like a cup ;) Simon

    wanted a m3 but....

Well why do these V6 threads go on for so damn long, there must be a lot of passion from both sides :) I personally LOVE IT, had mine for 4 years now and still smile when I drive it :) Love it or hate it, its seems to keep threads going for 10 or pages of total twoddle...lol ;) Mate...

    My new toy

On the Raptors there are 5 servo's 3 are for cyclic and pitch on main Rotor 1 is for throttle and 1 is for tail Rotor (rudder) On the little CX2's there are only 2 servos I think, 1 for left/right and 1 for forward/back on the swashplate (cyclic) All the other movements (up/down and...

    wanted a m3 but....

my two cents worth..... :) 1.Micheal1.2 seems to know s**t all about V6's? ;) 2.here's something to ponder......Heard lots of people on here over the years go on about how the Clio V6 is only 1s faster to 60mph and 3s faster to 100mph than the 182 is and therefore slow, so best to get a...

The 7th channel is used for a Governor, or other things if you decide to put a "scale" body on it at some point? I bought a Futaba 6ex fasst tx, then had to upgrade... its up to you, the DX6i or 6ex will both work well on the Raptor 30 :) Simon
  14. S

    My new toy

I would get either the Sprekrum DX7 or Futaba 7C Tx? You will soon find you want/need 7 channels, so I'd keep the 35Mhz untill then If I where you :) Simon
  15. S

    My new toy

Thats Good then, it does get easier with practice ;) Simon
  16. S

    My new toy

Yeah try em both and try using your own Tx in the sim, what Tx you got btw? you on 2.4Ghz or 35Mhz? Simon
  17. S

    My new toy

Ok well at least if you're on a buddy nothing should come to harm ;) I would ditch that sim and get http://www.phoenix-sim.com/welcome.htm far better, with that you can plug your own Tx in. Most people I know have that one. It has the Raptor 30 and 50 in there and they do feel quite good...

What swashplate setting is your tx set up to? What Tx you have? Which heli you flying in the sim? Simon
  20. S

    My new toy

Have got your Transmitter set up correct? sounds like you may have the rudder reversed? On the sim if set up correct the tail shouldn't spin wildly unless yuo give it lots of right/left input on the left stick? Simon
  21. S

    My new toy

Yeah heli's are the hardest R/C you can do, but great fun once your hands start to "get the feeling" ;) :) Practice makes perfect :) Simon

£205 pounds to tax my 172

Caister for prime Minister ;) my V6 is up to £440 next year and yet if I buy a 5.0 V8 TVR Griffith it drops to £180 because its older than 2001 lol.....and yet it pollutes even more.....stupid f**king Government Simon
  23. S

    My new toy

All Heli's crash at some point ;) depends how much experience you have, great heli the 500 :) Simon
  24. S

    My new toy

Sneeks I would also buy yourself a good R/C sim like this one, http://www.phoenix-sim.com/welcome.htm and join a model club :) oh and welcome to the expensive world of R/C Heli's ;) my last raptor crash cost me £125 lol ;) but then again I do have Carbon blades (£60) What model are you...

    A FF182 vs a MkII V6...

Well it does mean he doesn't know how to put a RWD, rear engined car into tight bend properly ;) So I'm guessing he's not a very good driver, or not had a RWD, Rear engined car long enough to know the difference in handling from a FWD car? Simon

    A FF182 vs a MkII V6...

  29. S

    pwnt a V6 Brera yesterday

and people think the V6 clio is heavy...the brera weighs in at a huge 1630kg kerb weight, giving it just 157bhp per tonne (same as the 197), less than a 182/172 :) Simon

    1.2 16v 0-60....

Well I think its because most tend to use thier phone stop watch and speedo, both are not accurate...the only way to prove proper 0-60 (if that what you're into?) is with proper timming gear (as car mags do) any other times are to be taken "with a pinch of salt" lol all speedo's over read...
