Mobil stuff isnt' as good! Is mobil stuff semi synth? Silkolene is fully synth i think. You get what you pay for. Do a search for some oil thread or a post by oilman there was some good reading in there somewher.

Seems clean, drives fine, brakes well and handles as well as can be expected. Gear changes are as fluent as my 172, if not a little easier. Engine doesn't wobble or make a loud noise (tappets/injectors) and is quite clean, no history but they will do a service, cambelt, & mot & tax it for us...

Good link, not sure about pc'ing on the Clio headlight as it is curved. Plus I also don't own a pc so will need to get someone to come over and help. Should I try a really fine wetsand & a few applications of some PlasticX by hand over the whole headlamp, or just a patch?

If it was you I saw yesterday in Long Eaton then this does sound good, not overly raspy or ott.

NS headlight (pics 1 to 3 & pic 5) has the bulk of the damage, biggest bit looks like a big birdy poo! OS headlight (4th pic) only has a little bit, looks like that will polish out.

Vista 64 bit has given me no end of grief, Vista 32 bit is much more stable. Haven't tried XP 64 I would be inclined to go for that if I were you. Vista slows everything down anyway. What spec you plumbed for?

You'll get tax back but only whole months, so if you tax ends in March you would only get Feb back IF you of course declared it SORN before the end of Jan. But then the money from that would go towards the tax of your new car I guess. Insurance again you'd be using that on your new car...

My normal 172 spoiler does go on easy, but this mofo, jeez.. I also ruin everything I touch, especially when it comes to cosmetic things, but after reading that everyone else has done it, I thought, whats the worse that could happen?

Spent the best part of 30 minutes trying to get it to align right, but its sitting ever so slightly up in the middle, and a touch to high on the drivers side, when I open and close the boot the back of the damn thing catches on the roof of my car, ever so slightly! Taped the washer jet pipe...
