The Mk2s have different throttle bodies which give them slightly more torque lower down in the rev range also apparently... so probably negates the extra weight

Hey, guys
Can these mods actually damage your engine?? And why didnt Renault put these mods on the car to begin with??
Also ive noticed alot of power figures going around with these mods, what about torque?? do they also increase torque?
Really?
Here in Aus, they actually rated the new S3 as only being like 0.1 of a second slower to 100kmph and again 0.1 slower to 400 m than the new WRX. Im talking the new 165kw version here. The commented that it had a better drivetrain than the Rexy, less turbo lag and had better in gear...

Yeah exactly... even 5th gear is shorter in the mk II so it should feel quicker... plus the throttle body is different giving more torque down low... which would offset the ~20kg increase in weight (as weighed on a weighbridge by members of this site)
Dammit, im sick of Mk1 owners insisting...

Thats because theyre prolly rev heads like all the other V8 loving blokes here.... they get so pissed when a tiny little "Echo" can swerve in and out of lanes and stick to their bumpers in traffic.......AND use half the petrol doing it.
I remember a friend of mine saying "Mate.. u just cant...
