Driven one,couldnt tell any difference to a cup. Wouldnt dream of buying one for a penny more than equivilant cup. Majority are all 2 owner ex demo cars anyway.

When I ordered mine I didnt have any 197's to actually look at and choose, only color charts. The dealers said nimbus was way off being a silver...it clearly isnt...looks nice, dont think it would shine as much as a highly polished black one though, would look good with anthracite wheels

I apologise for being snappy... the Cooper S I refer to is a 170 Supercharged. The problem with my change from 172 to 197 was that there was a 225 TT in the middle for 8 months! I kind of got used to quality with the TT, so I do feel that I have gained in quality with the 197, better materials...
