Here some fact for you,
GP bike
145kgs and 250bhp = 1724bhp per tonne
F1 car
600kgs and 900bhp = 1500bhp per tonne.
although the rider does make a difference...lol ;)
Simon.
Yeah I am sure that the F1 car would have still won? but that drag race between the f1 car, SBK and Boat was a bit one sided, they should have had an GP bike there, not a SBK??
Would have put up a better fight at least....
Simon.
I agree bike racing is far more exciting than watching car racing these days (F1 is the ultimate bore).
Pounds for speed you cant beat a bike, that simple, where else can you do 0-60 in 2.5 and 0-100 in 6.2 seconds and top speed of 185mph for less than £10K new??? only on a bike.
However...
You only get away with it if the animal is small enough to get run over by your wheels and miss your bodywork (so very small for some of the lower cars here).
However, a smashed up front and a dead animal is better than either killing yourself or another motorist/motorcyclist by swerving...
I dont seek attention, I just want a car that make my heart beat every time I look at it. my V6 255 does that for me, the Meggane doesnt...thats all...;)
I have another car for my family needs......:D
Simon.
I know I an a V6 255 fanboy....cant help it....sorry....lol
Fair enough edde, for me a car has to get my heart pounding when I first look at it, the V6 does this for me, the Megane doesnt....its all in the eye of the beholder I guess, but if it dont look right first I will not even consider buying it....
Simon.
Dont you find the totally UGLY back window/arse a total let down??
Most people I talk to hate the megane for just that reason, I wouldnt get one....ever
On a good note, they do look reasonable from the front and go fastish....
Simon.
Sorry to be negative to any megane owners...
OK, I see your point now, you reckon its best to buy a 3 year old car then??
The only problem with that is you have no idea how the last owner treated the car?? could be lots of repair bills awaiting you?
But for money, second hand will of course always be cheaper than new...;):D
Simon
well I didnt.....
With only about 400 V6s in this country I am sure that 10 years after production these cars will be very rare and demand much more money, just like Cossies, before end of production you could pick up second hand ones cheap, but now they cost alot more.....cant see the 182...
It tells you to shop around mate....anyone paying £27100 for a new V6 is STUPID, you can get them for alot less, around £24500 is an average price.
In a few years people will look at Clio 182s and think its just an old Clio and worth bugger all, where as they will look at a CLIO V6 and...
ok, why not buy an Exige, lets face it they are both the same car and the lotus looks better anyway.
Anyway back to the artical, I am sure that if the critera was just for track cars then the VXR200 would have won easy (lets face it, its a very fast car), however the critera was more than just...
You should simply go out and buy yourself a 220.....simple.
Simon.
I will stick to a 255bhp, RWD Mid-Engined Hatchback that looks awesome and is well fast enough for public roads......
The 220 is a great track car, but as I spend 100% of my time on Public roads I would rather have the V6 255, plus the V6 looks so much better.....
Simon.
