Looking to buy some new short number plates from ebay. Could someone tell me the size of these plates (or similar). And, are they legal so long as the letters are normal size, and its just the plate that is shortened? Cheers

Ordered clear side repeaters for my mk2 ph2 the other week and came today, going to fit them tomorrow.. before I open them up, can anyone tell me how i fit them? I'm guessing I just wedge the old ones out and clip in the new ones, but worth making sure by asking on here right?
