    Shaking steering wheel at 60+mph...

Y'alright Dave. I'll try it this weekend, got nothing to lose. I did do a search before I bought the prolines, and it seemed the consensus was that tracking wasn't entirely necessary...

    Shaking steering wheel at 60+mph...

No I've not. It's since I had the wheels swapped/tyres fitted. Gonna have to go back and get them changed over, my back tyres aren't good enough for the front. More money and faffing about! thanks, John

    Shaking steering wheel at 60+mph...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did swap my wheels fron to back when I put new tyres on. They seem ok on the balancing machine tho, no buckles.

    Shaking steering wheel at 60+mph...

Really? The tyres were delivered to me, all sealed up and put on in front of me. No water?

    Shaking steering wheel at 60+mph...

really, cos the tyres (Goodyear F1s) are immense. Could they really be causing this?

    Shaking steering wheel at 60+mph...

First thought was obv' wheels out of balance. I had new tyres fitted on the front recently, and had eibach prolines fitted the same week. Since then the wheel's been shaking. Had the wheels balanced when the tyres where done. Went to KwikFit today cos it's local and they re-balanced the...

collecting my 182 cup in next 20 mins

Pearl black FTW. Once you've tried black, you never go back! But yeah, bet you're proper excited lad. Just watch the old torque steer when you're overtaking and shizzle. Scared me the first time.

More channels available on freeview ??!!

Point taken. Dishes do look godawful full stop. Do you have a skylight by any chance? I'm guessing not, but if it's in the right position I've heard you can use a dish thru it.

    Engine Probs/Revs on start Up/Won't start/Management light

if i disconnect my accelerator pedal and start the car i prompt the revving fault. Could it be the pedal that's duff? Or does that prove nothing?

    Engine Probs/Revs on start Up/Won't start/Management light

i just cleaned it but it wasn't so dirty. Surely the throttle is closed at idle? Would the throttle body really make the car idle badly? I've sourced a few used ones. Just not convinced it would cure it dave...

    Engine Probs/Revs on start Up/Won't start/Management light

my mate works for reno, best price he can do me one for is £190. He's 200 miles away tho. He said to clean it first with brake cleaner. And advised against 2nd hand. But hey, needs must. Thanks for the help chaps

    Engine Probs/Revs on start Up/Won't start/Management light

the temp sensor had disconnected. That was the fault code. But i'm still having weird revs and no throttle response. I'll check the throttle body over in a mo. How much would i get one for, is used ok?

    Engine Probs/Revs on start Up/Won't start/Management light

cheers dave. I'm just really unsure about replacing stuff one by one. Can prove expensive. One thing i have noticed is the sensor that enters the plenum is a bit insecure. Everything else seems ok.

    Engine Probs/Revs on start Up/Won't start/Management light

OK, I've just done a search and had a read. But I'm still uncertain what's wrong with my 172. A few weeks back I started my car and it was fine till I tried the throttle, which didn't respond. Idled normally just wouldn't respond to the throttle. Switched off and on again, all was fine. No...

Laptop screen flickers twice when i switch on the laptop as if its refreshing..

Cheers Scott, I tried that. Vista wouldn't let me totally disable TMM so I've scheduled it monthly. Just restarted my laptop and it used to flicker 2-3 times, now it flickers once v.quickly. So I think I'll live with it
