They are proper Philips Silvervisions off powerbulbs.com
Here's an interesting thing from Powerbulbs....
You get free bluevision sidelights when you purchase a pair of silvervision indicators... OK?
So I order two sets of them, so you'd think I'd get at least one pair of sidelights free...
Cargo net?
I didn't get one! Dammit!
Are they worth having? I want something with compartments to put things like first aid kit, tissues, de-icer, maps, general odds and ends in. Just wanted something genuine meant for the car.
I hate stickers with a passion.
For stickers, those ones aren't bad but still don't really see the point to be honest. Most people will know it's a Renaultsport, especially with the boot badges.
What sort of boot accessories can you get for Clio 172's?
I'm after something to keep all my stuff in.
Iirc can you not get something that goes underneath the parcel shelf? I don't want cheap stuff and argos don't have anything like that anyway.
Fitted the Silvervisions this morning along with a Cup Splitter (courtesy of blobby - cheers). Bulbs take 30 seconds each to swap, splitter is trickier and requires the help of a mate to make life easier.
Pre bulbs and splitter..
Post bulbs and splitter..
Pleased with the...
That is pretty good.
I paid £95 all in for a 2gb one in November. I can get 500 songs on that so these should be good for 250.
I might get one just for dance choons. Just keep the spare card in my wallet.
I'm definetely putting a Cup splitter on my 172 and possibly a Cup spoiler.
Now in the past I've always declared mods but is it really necessary for these mods?
How likely is a claims inspector likely to notice a splitter being non standard and a Cup spoiler rather than the normal 172...
Anyone know where I can get my four 172 alloys refurbed in the north east?
The 172 I've just got, all four alloys have kerbing all round the rims. Nothing terrible but bad enough close up.
How much typically does refurbishment cost per wheel?
Oh and another Q you might be able to...
Cheers, I did see one of your threads when I searched but my manual seems to imply H1 for main beam, so I've already ordered them.
It specifically says what the other lights all are but the mains it doesn't.
If anyone has a manual handy... on page 5.11 it says:
Main beam headlights...
lol, I've got it.
Reading the handbook does help sometimes!
Indicators PY21W
Sides W5W
Main H1
Xenon D2S
Could someone recommend a brand of bulb though? Cheers.
As you'll know, just acquired a mk2 172 on Friday.
Thinking about silvervision indicators front and rear.
Searched here and to be honest I'm still a bit confused and there's a lot more to choose from since I was last on powerbulbs.com for indicators for my VTS.
The wizard says I need...
Looks great that 172 matey.
Personally I'd leave the lights well alone though rather than as suggested above. Imo, 172 lights look better than the 182 lights with their grey masky bits inside.
Rather than make it an exact 182 replica, you've got a best of both worlds car. 172 silver looks...
Ah, had a feeling that's what ye meant but I'm not much of a mechanical dude and wasn't certain.
Nah, it'll not be getting lowered or anything like that. My driveway is funny and reversing on, with front wheels still on road and rear on drive, the clearance to the pavement is minimal as it...
Cheers guys.
Rich, nah it was parked up down the sea front.
Traded the VTS against it. Didn't get quite what I wanted but enough.
Let me just say, the 172 is a fantastic car. So comfy and refined. Happy to pootle along at 30 or accelarting hard. So many creature comforts and gadgets...
(dunno why that second pic is small - supposedly same resolution as others)
Cheers for comments.
Nah, Bubbles, I'm a sentimental type of dude. I like my name even if it's a mouthful to say out loud.
