Been recommending these for nearly 3yrs now.
Takes a while for the sheep to listen, but thats their loss ;)
Work from cold, no noise/squeals, never give up on track, bit dusty.
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news
Cannot see the flappy paddle gearbox working on track in such a cheap car.
Holding at high rpm's it will want to shift up just as you let off the gas.
Will wait & see, at least it will have 4 yr warranty & going by the last models thank god!
The cracks across the tyres do not seem to effect them.
They are used as the control tyre in the Mazda race series & these guys give them death.
At RTOC my mates 5 did not get overtaken all day & in the wet I was astounded at the speeds through Gerard's.
They are awesome as in you can come...
Well the way I look at it is, as the models have evolved they have become the hot hatch to own.
The RS model sells better in the UK than anywhere & most of them end up on track.
So if this model has better emissions & more power, possibly more track focused this can only be good.
Try & get into Donington after 9am & if its as busy as last time you may not get to the stand till 11am!
I live 8 miles away & wife says it has been chucking it down today!
Not much chance of that.
If you go through underpass in paddock & turn left that takes you to the inside of Redgate corner, that's where the Trophys were back last time it was hosted.
You may have to enter via the new underpass near Coppice.
Track is awesome when wet.
Couple of hundred for 3 yrs of ownership, but it was 'MINT' & only 17000 miles.
The 197 I bought from Wests was even better, 08/58, 1400 miles, gw, recs, ac & speeds for £10.9, did 5 trackdays & was due a service sold for £12k.(09 when the country went tits up)
Russ had detailed it the week...
187 is for sale in Birmingham.
The first owner had six cars, the trophy was a toy.
I had that car for three yrs & it wanted for nothing.
My mate was service manager at Renault & everything got replaced under warranty & I mean everything.
A teacher bought it off me & he spent a fortune on it, BG...
Never have a problem getting a table at a sw**ky restaurant ;)
Gets comments everywhere :D
When I seen the traders posting thought my price was going to get slated.
Christ i've done a dozen full trackdays & 15K road miles & my tryres are still going strong.
So glad I moved away from FWD, remember stripping a front R888 at a Donington eve event one crazy 30C evening!
This is where I disagree.
Trackday is not a race never has been.
The supper sticky tyres become boring or they did to me mainly as you don't need any ability to be quick.
I have more fun controlling the car on the limit on road tyres.
Rsrs are not comparable with 888 as different price point...
