Never had a wet test day tbh, plus I can still keep up/beat the others, and I wouldn't want to have mess about with the suspension too much.
Just really be interesting, to feel what it's like.
Yes ballast box is fixed. And I agree, nobody wan't extra weight, but I just think people get carried away for a track day car.
If you can't drive, it doesn't matter how light your car is. (not pointing at anybody btw).
I'm sure not Harv, but then they have to worry about tyre wear etc on top of all that.
Yes logger predicted a quicker time adding all the sectors together, but then I was only just under that, and felt as though I could have gone around all day at that pace.
I like to do that, just hitting all...
Fair enough.
All I care about is winning races, which I seem to manage to do on a regular basis.
Not bad for an old bloke with a heavy car and no skills.
Maybe so, but then my car isn't set up to the ultimate for every circuit, a few minor tweeks is all I do.
A BTCC car is set up to the limit for every circuit, so yes any change would make a difference, hence ballast rules for wins.
Isn't the op an average Joe then? Just doing track days?
I do...
Indeed Adam, thanks again for that, you did get to drive it though, not many have done that.
We did back to back testing at Mallory 2yrs ago, car on fumes to race fuel 45ltrs. 600th a sec a lap difference, and to be honest the car felt better with fuel than without.
Even Fred was shocked at...
Your car wouldn't be allowed in the Production Class, but would be fairly competitive in class A, not saying it would be a top runner, but would still be fun.
Oh and Matt I'm going to have to give that shell a miss, time, space are just 2 factors.
