I disagree my Mac has been far more stable than my similarly priced windows laptop was.
Three times last year I had to delay presentations to potential clients because windows decided to update or a driver failed.

Same as above, I’ve moved over to Mac after the s**t show that is windows kept interrupting me at work. (updates, random driver issues etc etc)
The hardware isn’t as good and you pay more but the softwares much better and I can’t say I’ve noticed it being any slower than my windows laptop.
Nah I’ve already got an X but for someone coming from a 6 or a 7 and doesn’t want to shell out a grand it would be a good upgrade.

Nope you don’t have to use Touch ID it is handy for various apps that require a login tho.
If you have none apple music you want to sync from ITunes just turn on WiFi syncing and it will do it automatically.
We have a similar sounding issue and we have BT fibre.
I think BT and plus net are virtually the same now apart from the branding.

^^ this, your basically just buying into different software at this point. It’s the only reason I stick with Apple because it works with my speakers/car play etc.
It will be gradual but give it 10 years I bet a lot of stuff won’t have a wired connection.
Even further ahead It will be all done through 4/5/6G and we will do away with routers all together.
