When I turn my engine off there is a slight tapping coming from the upper mount and it does seem to be leaning back a bit. Am I right in thinking I need a new mount?
Bit late on this thread but hey.
Prople keep saying you support the engine with the jack and wood on the sump...but how do you actually remove the mount? Is it safe to just keep winding the jack until the engine completely clears the upper mount so it can just slide out?
Has anyone fit a temp gauge in the passenger wing mirror? Any tips? I don't even know how to open the wing mirror itself. And what can I expect to find inside? Is it a simple job?
I don't know whether to just buy a new temp gauge or a full new wing mirror. Help please. Thanks.
Just having a look at militek actually. There's one for a 172 but it has a dual tail pipes. I think I'd rather keep it hidden. And yes £485 is rather steep! Does anyone ever go back to Renault for a standard exhaust? Or is it cheaper to get one of the ones you mention?
Here's a photo by the way...if it works. http://s1182.photobucket.com/albums/x442/filsammon/?action=view¤t=E5BCA1BF-00B3-42CE-884C-35ABCE0C22B5-1280-0000016CEDC4A529.jpg&evt=user_media_share
Hi folks. My exhaust has been lightly blowing for a bit now. Got out of the car today and its got quite a bit worse. Something needs to be done. As you look at the car side-on the hole is right on a bracket roughly in line with the door handles. It's a 172 with the original exhaust at the...
Why are people saying 1. Clio's are decent in the snow and 2. You can drive them in it so long as you know how. If you've not got winter tyres on a Clio (sport) its useless. People saying you need momentum to get up hills...well yes but what if you have to stop because of traffic? The best...
3 or 4 inches here and with winter tyres my car has been unbelievable. Was going up a hill earlier and there was a good 10 cars stuck. Including an X5 actually. Only me and a Range Rover could get up there no problem. Beautiful
Hi guys, bit of help if somebody wouldnt mind. I tried to lock my car the yesterday with my fob, as usual, but it made a single prolonged beep and wouldnt alarm itself. I ended up just locking it with the key. Anyway, this morning i noticed that the 'door open' light was on. I got out, opened...
I've got a similar problem to this but it's only when the wiper is at the peak of it's cycle i.e. at a right angle to the bonnet. Renault have been less than useless. Quoted £500 for the three-arm linkage mechanism. I don't think it's that though as it doesn't make a sound when I lift the wipers...
Help please! My external thermostat is giving a reading of 35 degrees when it clearly is not. I'm guessing I need a new one. Just wanted to know if it will cause me any problems in the meantime though. Are the internal and external stats linked or is the external purely there to give you a...
Mega bump! I've got a similar problem to this. I can spin the yellow bit all day and the cradle still can't be removed. It's as of there's a bolt somewhere that I can't grip. Anyone any ideas? Other than smash the thing up
A silver PH2 172 outside Wooler.
Gordini 200 behind Magnet in Riddlesden.
PH2 Flamer outside Quikfit.
182 (FF?) always parked on Victoria Road, always immaculate.
Also spotted a really nice Exclusive in between Haworth and Oxenhope last week. Looked great
Once you ring your insurance company you have initiated the claims procedure in their eyes. Another complete rip-off. I dont know how they get away with it! Im currently having problems with a similar issue. Thankfully its just phone insurance though.
