Honestly, avoid coilovers.
You're getting yourself into a world of "they're s**t, these are s**t, OMGZ these are amazing, but so expensive"
all my experience with coilovers points to increased wear on joints and bushes, a s**t ride and a pain in the arse with Internet experts.
V6 wheels are completely different to turinis. They're either 17" or 18" OZ superturismos, depending on which V6
the headlights look daft as well, tinting headlights is Darwin Award worthy.
I'd just keep bashing away at it. See what comes of it.

The insurance company is going to have an interesting time with that one. Now the car has been splashed about on the Internet, the future resale value will be affected by anyone wanting to buy it surely? How do you insure against that?

Removing the subframe takes no time at all with the right tools, and makes the job a hell of a lot easier than trying to drag it through the engine bay, or squeezing it through the arch with the subframe...
If both setups are capable of locking the wheels at the same given speed, both brake setups will stop the car in the same time and distance. It no longer becomes a braking issue, instead it's about the level of friction between the road and the tyre. No ifs, no buts.
