Yeah it's normal mate most steering wheels suffer from it along with melting to the actual steering wheel! One option I found recently is if you look at eBay item 300358662589 the guy makes thumb grips himself and sells them. I can't tell you what they're like but obvioulsy it's a much cheaper...

Came on to the A47 from the Harford Roundabout at about 19:20 went around a lorry and you came up behind me shifting abit so I pulled into left hand lane to let you past. Didn't realise you were in a 172 till you went past me and I flashed you getting a response with your hazards...anyone on...

I'm pretty sure they do as I sold my standard 172 alloys on eBay to a bloke who had a 1.2 clio after I told him they would fit fine and he never complained they didn't fit so guessing they fitted fine?!?

Not to bothered if I don't have standard but I want something that's going to be about as good as standard or better. If the Delphi pads/discs are basically cheaper versions of the standard ones shouldn't be alot of difference should there??

Does anyone have any experience of these and know if they're any good?? Got a quote today from a garage and these are the only ones they'll do for my 172 so just wondering as they cost about a 3rd of what Renault want for genuine discs/pads plus fitting?? Thanks

Well the service sheet I got says that the front pads have 12mm (min is 18mm) and fronts discs have 21.6mm (min is 24), and rear pads have 7mm (min is 11) and rear discs have 6.7mm (min is 8)....do these sound right at all then??

How long would it take to fit both the rear and front pads/discs on do you know??

Basically I had my 48k service done today @ Renault Holden, Norwich on my 03' 172 and I've been told that I need new discs and pads for front and rear. For front discs and pads I've been quoted 280.95 with fitting and £280.88 for the rear. Both of these quotes seem very expensive to me and...
