Only really seems to happen in the first few gears with hard acceleration. It manifested itself first by only happening when the wheels were spinning but has gradually turned into whenever there is hard acceleration.
Its held by the supplied D clamps I think there are 2 or 3 in total and ive...
and prepared to pay well over the odds for what looks like essentially a slippery leather seat with okay support?
The amounts I've seen these go for is outrageous! Im looking for seats myself and it appears Accord type r seats are basically the same just not leather and these go for a quarter...
Just paid a garage to fit the ktec/janspeed system and when I looked at it I can notice that the D shaped exhaust clamps seem to be quite low to the ground. Without jacking up and looking...at 12:34am they are put on so the lowest point (as in the corner of the D shape) is towards the floor so...

Also as I plan to do trackdays and also use it as a daily do I need the centre silencer?
So what seats has everyone got?
I was going to use a Cobra fixed back with harness but thought as its my main car it may be wiser to get some reclining recaro style seats.
What confuses the hell out of me is when you may have a cheap brand and how are you supposed to fit them?
Cobra seem a...
Thought I'd try taking the Clio down my favourite road today and was shocked to find it was probably slower than in my Twingo RS or even my old 1.4 106!
The car seemed to want to torque steer everywhere and follow all the cambers and ruts etc which was not nice if im honest and it felt like the...
Just looked around and 172 cup dampers are so cheap I thought I may just put these on instead of risking going too hard with coilovers. Thing is when I've been searching there have been no mentions of prices for springs. Are they the same?
So aside from tyres what would people say are the most cost effective mods for a 172?
Mine's a sport by the way not cup.
Would uprated mounts/bushes and a rear ARB be close to the mark? As im thinking of possibly getting the rear ARB as the first mod in an attempt to cure the horrific...
Had my 172 sport just under a week and find thr standard seats while comfy don't really offer the support I need.
As its such a nice comfy car I dont think I want to go the whole hog and have fixed buckets with harnesses on both sides as this will make the rear seats unuseable. This is daily so...
Just bought myself a nice little silver 172.
Its on 76k and has had
New alternator
New battery
New (s**t) tyres lol
New pas pump
All belts done and rebuilt head (where previous owner neglected to do the cam belt)
Refurbed factory alloys
New suspension spring (where it was stoof for a while)
Got...
Hi,
Should hopefully be getting a 172 either today or at least very soon!
I've previously owned various saxo/106's and have also owned a Twingo 133 (sport) which I loved but was ultimately a bit slow. Thought the suspension on track was pretty perfect if im honest and was also very comfortable...
