+1 and opieoils seem a good place to get it.
I use it on track and it's never let me down. Only dot 4 but higher wet and dry boiling point than most 5.1's.
Don't get me wrong, they are good and you would be as well trying them before the pagid's but if you can get some RS4's you'll notice the difference. You need to use them with max brembos so they don't glaze over.
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
If you get enjoyment out of blinging up a track car then crack on. It's your money at the end of the day and personally I like it. My preference is to do the essentials, then the performance and then the bling things but each to their own.
I was thinking of getting...
Nick,
This sounds like the same problem i had. The symptoms of my issue were:
1) car wouldn't start when turning the key (not even try to crank but you would hear relays clicking)
2) when connecting to the ecu port behind the ashtray there was no signal
3) some of the electrics wouldn't work...
I use kw on track and find them very good.
still got some suspension tweaking to such as polybushes and rear ARB but all in all they do the business on track.
I get some rubbing but still running 16's so to be expected.
Need to get mine set up so this should defo help!
Fingers crossed as I'm an idiot when it comes to this sort of stuff. Might see some more daft questions soon!
Re: Track Car Nurburgeing Toy
Found that at knockhill at the weekend. No matter how many laps you are up an elises arse it wont move over to let you pass.
Why did you choose to fit the mounts at the 5,6,7 o'clock position? Got mine fitted at a motorsport garage and they said it was far more beneficial to fit them 6,7,8 o'clock on the drivers side and 4,5,6 o'clock on the passenger side. Said it was for better castor adjustment as the kw's has good...
Re: Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/428s/Wilwood/2118
No worries, gave me a chuckle.
They look the dogs danglies anyway. I need to get some 2118's in anthracite!
Fitted a new aux belt this afternoon and thought I'd check the tension using my new Renault tension meter. The manual says it should be 183Hz but I can't get it over 150Hz and that is seriously horsing it up to the point it feels like the belt is about to snap (probably not but it's tight...
I had mine removed from my kw's but it was knocking over bumps so I got scared the spring was going to come out on track so put them back in. You could make up clamps to make sure they didn't come out but I didn't.
I got a pin with the the other tools for a cambelt change which is a straight pin of 8mm dia. Is this the correct size to hold the crank in top dead centre position?
None of mine either, boo hoo!
Some good shots but mate.
Anyone done hot hatch days at knockhill? Are they as friendly as trackscotland or Renaultsport days?
I would have thought no but due to the bend as it exits the backbox then there might be a very marginal back pressure differential.
Would be interested to know also as I'm not sure on the Yozza stealth or race system.
