Where are you in Glasgow? I might be interested in the RS tuner. What is the difference in the old style to new and can the your unit do all maps? Also cant they get rid of airbag warning lights or am I hoping for too much?

What they have said to map the car is 4 hours on the rollers to calibrate with a full print out of power and torque curves. If the car is straight forward thats what it'll be if they come across other issues then it might be more.

Might just leave it till the end of the summer before the remap then as I can't afford the exhaust due to all the track days I have planned. Problem is the longer I leave it the more I think, matched inlet then itb's and so on. Very addictive!

Do you think there will be much difference between the 2 exhaust in terms of power?

Price is around £250 for full set up and a print out. Do you have a map on the rstuner for a 182 with a Decat?

I haven't heard too much about VES but I was enquiring with Ktec about ITB's and they recommended them. They have been shut for a few weeks getting a new rolling road and equipment installed so certainly have the apparatus for the job. I'll let you know when I decide. I had considdered the...

    172 Cup Track/Fast Road car.

I've got 2 degrees of -ve camber on the front until I got used to it but the garage that is setting mine up says you're better making small changes to the set up and explore the limits of each set up. In the wet mine understeers but I know its the way I drive as after some tuition on how to...

Easiest way to remove 172 exhaust manifold?

That was my next question, which is the easiest cat to use to make it fit the link section? My old one then?

Easiest way to remove 172 exhaust manifold?

I am just about to attemp this job but am now having second thoughts. To people who have done it, is it worth it in the end? With a standard Clio 172 cup I've done a 14.7sec qtr mile at crail so from reading this thread I guess that is quite uncommon? Got the timing slip to prove before the...

    ITB torque figures

Is that with a 172 exhaust manifold and Cat?

Just from what I've read into manifolds about the length of each cylinder pipe then the length of the next section before mating into the main single section looks very tricky. There was a review written about all the different types of manifolds for the CTR and how they all made improvements in...

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

Sounds painful and yet the pain is still to come when you keep hitting off things when you forget what you've done.

I'm taking it to VES-Sport in Dumblane. Why are you making your own mani? It's a difficult one to get right for power and torque and also its to fit a vert right space. Wouldn't of thought it would make too much difference but wasn't sure due to one being a race system and the other not.

    Custom remap

I've got a 182 exhaust manifold and Decat link pipe to fit to my 172 ktec stealth system and want to get a custom map to suit. I would also like to change the stealth system to a yozzasport race system. If I was to get it mapped for the ktec stealth them change to the yozza race system later...

Sounds like the bearing then. Not sure on the drum set up but you'll need to replace it.

Do you know how much weight the cage has added? I think the paint looks very nice indeedy!

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

Cage looks very impressive but looks twice as much steel as most fia cages I've seen. Is all the metal work absolutely necessary? Must weigh a ton.

Different tyres front and rear axle

It won't be as good or predictable as if they matched all round so it depends how much you throw it about.

Different tyres front and rear axle

As far as I know that is only for top speed rating so unless you plan on going to the salt flats of Utah you should be ok.
