Just these ! They recommended the cambelt every 5 years or 72 k and aux kit every 36k iirc although somebody needs confirm that ! If in doubt get them done IMO !
That ^^^^
my car has a sigma cat 1 alarm so after 3 minutes it automatically locks and alarms it's self ! Pain in the arse but I have two sets of keys !
Is a lot cheaper than breaking a window ! Just get a blank key cut and use the passenger side lock !
Nope ! Your midlands like me ! I suggest Birchdown , they did my belts cracking job gave me a courtesy car , price was very reasonable and they did a cracking job !
Lovely car by looks :) enjoy it !
Well today has been a pretty mental one !
Dropped the Clio off at renault for the headlight washer , didnt hear a peep do assumed it would be ready for 5, walked over from work, happy it's all been fitted FOC and save me a but if hassle !
Been told keep my eyes on them, but should be okay :)...
Mine runs like poop ! It feels hesitant, sometimes even pops and bangs ! Just the way they are from cold ! My 172 and 182 have done it and once they warm up after a minute or two spot on! Had the belts done properly and serviced regular just a thing these do ! Leave it running 5 before you drive...
Yeah I'm no good with the clay bar my friend is so he's going to run up and down it :) hopefully come out pretty well ! Even though is on 98k still got fairly decent bodywork !
Still quite like the front end re painting to make it better :)
I did mention it at the start of the post lol ...
Right ! I tried to run a phase 2 172 inlet on my 182 and the rocker cover is different so it runs with a vacuum leak at the back ! That's why I'm confused there is two bolts that hold it down on the rocker on my 182 and only 1 on the phase 2 172 !
I suppose of your running it the opposite way...
Use the 182 manifold other than that winner ! Make sure you use the inlet supplied with the engine , because the phase 2 172 and 182 are very slightly different so if you use a 172 engine use the 172 inlet !
Well had a bit of time and a Sunday to myself ! Got a little rainy at the end ! But the Titty was a dirty girl so it needed to be done !
Photo crazy I know :(
Sorry !
On the bright side , I have spoken to a friend we are arranging for the car to be fully detailed in the next couple of...
Dephaser is the variable valve timing pulley basically , if the engine sounds a little rattly knocky top end then that will need replacing more than likely !
The belts are best done my a specialist because people get the wrong , very easy to mis time the engine and lose a lot of power ! People...
i like the idea , ive had a look on 197 . net some really good ones at the right prices on there not come across a R27 yet though , went on pistonheads and autotrader and they seam be WAY over priced like normal!!
haha thanks !! thats cleared up a few things ,
Looks like im after a clio with cup packs then !!
Just dont fancy having less than on my 182, im a wear it wont feel like a rocket ship and they arent that good on fuel !
but they look nice, newer car , less miles etc !!
ill give a few a...
The ones listed are for a Clio 3 they are just supplied without bearings and abs rings ! You can remove the and ring and press in bearing out and in I'd imagine similar to the older clios !
Sounds exactly like what I'm after ! Do they hold a premium though over normal 197's?
Sounds good though , can you get a normal 197 with them though or are they only on the R27?
I love the looks of LY clios but don't think I'd want to own one ! Liking Albi blue ATM haha
IMO keep the ST , Clios aren't really known for there boot size and also they won't be anywhere near as quick or comfy !
But You should get a MINT 197 for 10k for a fairly decent 200 for 10k mate !
As far as I'm awear they can be sourced separately I've never known them to be sold only as a pair !
its bad practice because the pads will already be bedded to that disc and therefore will have a wear pattern along with the disc , therefore when you swap the discs , the pads will only be...
Right in the last couple of months I've been thinking of getting a Clio 197
I've noticed a lot have dropped a bit in value so in the next few months ill think about it , but what I can get my head around is the options :/
I've used the search bar but to no avail, before people say, and can't...
If there's still a slight miss could account for the slightly low ish power but like mentioned they do make that power normally , anywhere between 160-170 for a 172 and 170-180 for a 182 IMO
