If you match the gearbox rpm to the flywheel rpm it makes the job of the syncros easier, and thus it will engage easier.

my light somethimes comes on as usual when it gets to 30 miles etc, but sometimes when i get back to the car in the morning if i havnt filled up the light isnt on and its reading around 15miles, lowest its calculated is 10!? plus everything resets itself, trip and MPG etc.

they get even Ph-aster with more miles ;)

all on a sorted now, 175nm is fookin tight!? sure thats right, did it tight by hand and then got a breaker bar on it for a 5th of a turn, torque wrench i borrowed only went up to 150nm still used it and calculated the rest. also used loctite. nathan

cool, im reusing the nuts, i'll put some locktite on it too, I have some burn marks on the stub axle on one side where the bearing was fubar'd, there is slight play inbetween the inner bearing and stub axle, really tiny movement, the bearing spins on the stub where as the other side doesnt. new...

Think thats what there called, how tight should It be, changing my rear disks today but havnt got a torque wrench. is it advisable to use one? pics will follow as the state of the disks rediculous. nathan

striped, coming on nicely but slowly. engine is being rebuilt. shell has hardly any rust apart from arches, engine isnt too bad either (ive seen your vids lol) also that oil leak.... cracked sump, didnt notice till it was removed and cleaned, tiny crack. you going to FCS?

WTF!!11!!

wheel bearings will hum when you put load on them, when they get worse they will hum under road speed too, so the faster you go the more then hum.

one of my rears has gone, been 2 months now, it gradualy got really, and i mean really loud, but has now quietened down, got new bearings/disks to put on just havnt had time, driven it normaly and even had some spirited runs and its been fine so far.

looks like yozza has bid on it.
