We bought the full package from Mark including R3 carbon intake, PMS manifold, BTB exhaust and Gen90 Ecu and loom and lots of other ancillaries. This means it's pretty much plug and play and apparently the Gen90 can be setup for shift cut.
We certainly are, will be bolted up to a Sadev box so really looking forward to seeing what it can do. Reiger suspension is scheduled to arrive mid January and the plan is to be finished for April fingers crossed.
Only just seen this thread, will have to have a crack at it. Not back off holiday until the 2nd though so looks like it will be on the next challenge .
It's a fantastic cage mate, will be painted shortly. Lad we had working for us was a welder so we got him to do the beam when we got rained off a job. Not as neat as you would have done but it's strong and won't be on show unless we stick it on its roof!
Finally managed to get back in the garage tonight to start putting a few bits back together.
Rear beam, subframe and wishbones have all been powder coated so fitted the PMS uprated rear stub axles to the beam, cleaned up the front hubs ready for new bearings and painting. The Reiger suspension...
We did a rally at Snetterton about 4 years ago and conditions were very similar. The start was delayed an hour as you couldn't see a thing. Great video, shows how good a package a Clio can be against more powerful machinery.
Always fancied a trip to Anglesey but unfortunately I'll be in Mexico at the time. Hopefully catch up at a later event. There is a great event at Cadwell Park that's usually mid April so that's our target for our build.
I know Evogone runs Reiger as well. Been emailing Zoltan at Reiger UK and just waiting for finalised spec and drawings and then 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Isle of Man videos are great, your light setup on the night stages was impressive, I would be interested to know which ones you are using as that is something I haven't looked into for our build.
It's frustrating when you have to back off for the bumps but better that than a potentially large...
It is @NorthloopCup engine. As Mark said, we were very impressed with the way he had gone with his engine so were planning on him building us a similar spec for our project. After his unfortunate trip to the 'Ring and his decision to go down another path it was a no brainer to acquire his...
Unfortunately work has been really busy so no real time on the car recently. However the upside of being busy is being able to do a little shopping. Was quite late when we got home so not a great picture I'm afraid. However, we now have a rather nice engine completely setup on a Gen90 ecu, PMS...
Glad you've got it back safe, gutted for you the way things panned out after all your efforts. Hope you bounce back and get sorted, would be great to see it in action.
The sill stands are the tallest I could find, 580mm to the centre of the pin. At just over £200 for the set thought they were pretty good value when you see the work involved. Much easier than having to kneel down to locate conventional stands in a suitable place especially in wet or muddy...
Great to see more Clios heading out onto the stages. Went to see Evogone a couple of months ago on a rally at Cadwell and he was mixing it up at the sharp end and has done really well in the Motoring News circuit championship. Might have a venture up to Mull for a watch, been meaning to do for a...
Weather was much better today so had to put a full day's work in. Just managed a quick hour to finish off the sill stands tubes though
Much better for access and safety.
After a number of years on the forum picking up lots of useful information and reading many impressive project threads I thought I would start a thread on our rally car build.
A bit of background to how we got here. I bought a cat D 172 cup about 5 years ago as a runabout and trackday toy but...
Just read through from the first post in one hit! Fantastically well thought out and engineered project, testament to your skill and philosophy for doing things the right way. Looking forward to getting our roll centre hubs and will be in touch shortly regarding engine and box plans.
That looks fantastic, very good deal getting a newer car and cash your way. While not being as quick as the Clio i bet it will be as much fun in it's own way. I am biased though as i adore small Fiats, my white Mk1 Uno Turbo is my pride and joy and will never be sold.
