    Amazon fire TV sticks

Why even wait till october? We are talking pennies here if you wait. Really say £100 a year is still 0.27p a day. Hardly worth waiting on a shite service till end of the term.

    Mobile Phone Contract Thread.

Correct, however i hardly ever use Wireless connections. Purely as i have the 200GB data, so why should I even touch my own network. Example was in Cyprus and used 80GB while away and European roaming is good when I visit Europe least 4 times a year. Its more the do new contracts include...

    Mobile Phone Contract Thread.

Im in a bit of a pickle it seems. 1. Been with Orange/EE a while 2. Legacy contract (2019) that includes everything pretty much unlimited text/data (200GB data never touch it) and European data/minutes with international roaming too. 3. No real issues, 3/4/5G all work fine. 4. Price - Not above...

    TP-link Deco Reoccurring Issue

Quick one here, have you make sure the deco is only doing MESH and not acting as a "router" i disabled that on many customers and it works happy after that.

What a weekend. Some services collapsed completely. Interesting one of the biggest providers too. Literally didnt get back up to the DDD AJ fight then went off during the PL on sunday. Wild. Anyway, VPNs on for many things and you are fine. Always open for recommendations if anyone needs any :)

    Any decent free VPNs?

Never understood the mentality of "free vpn." People need to stop thinking "free" and think security over an above.

The 'I work in I.T' thread

Just got a WDS Server to wipe 500 client machines, then install Windows 11 OOBE with autopilot ps script to auto provision it. Feel proud of it, but we are not doing the rollout. Good luck :) PS - Client wants it rolled out by October and have a 1:1 device swappage in place.

The 'I work in I.T' thread

Essentially the manual way of WinGet-AutoUpdate which does this in a semi automatic fashion. Not doing this for thousand endpoints. Plus customer needs reports for CE compliance.

Yep, words out their top IT people. "Nothing in house, all cloud." Ok enjoy spending more money forever! Finance bean counters will love it.

The 'I work in I.T' thread

SCCM is being dumped. Hence the full move to intune. Customer was 100% no server infrastructure. Only "cloud."

The 'I work in I.T' thread

Question. What you lot using to update applications on machines as a whole? Via intune or script would be smashing. We have used PatchMyPC in the past, but not seen anything of late that seems to be the better one.

What a day, it really made my day. My mate calling me saying his estate is in tatters and I said he was having a CrowdStroke. We laughed but I think he's crying.

TVs will eventually loose Netflix and built in apps.. This just adds on and you can side load many other apps. Plus processors and memory is much larger on external devices compared to TVs.

Oh there are absolutely better ones out there. Google TV and GD1s provide better experiences. If you want to push out then go for Formuler boxes. Absolutely top notch. They serve a purpose and many people want "cheap as can."

Home cctv and phone apps? recommendations please!

Depending on the model, always check. Most NVR have it, but will at most power a camera (check usage first). But i always just POE switch to a central point then the cables are all hidden regardless.
