seats are amazing...... perfect position and comfort... can just about get 1st and 3rd when tightened in.. whilst i could move the seat forward a touch my leg positions are perfect...

Works been really crazy.. So my priorities have been with my company for the kadt few weeks, but with bedford rs track evening booked for friday. I needed to crack on with progress..
Roll bar painted and fitted.. Seats fitted, drivers harness fitted.. Havnt decided if the shoulder straps...
so much better that that t**t clarkson to watch... Jays a true enthusiast... and full of compliments for the good parts.. even when some of the cars he drives clearly have a few issues, he always appreciates,is respectful and highlights the good areas...

i was thinking the exact same thing last night.. but putting a horizontal crank in oem gear stick. would keep the same throw as oem but bring it closer and work well with my bucket seats...

appologies if this is in wrong thread.. just wondered if anyone else has experienced this when adding to bog standard 172, ive had this fitted now for a week or so, ive did a shake down test for my car last week, the noise is epic...
what i have noticed, or i may have only just noticed now is...
that looks great, kinda moving over to race car look.. also kinda cool the quick release bumper... is it just the x 2 top grill mounts.. and the two side mounts to take it off and put back on again? i did read the thread where you added them but couldn't work out how many other fixings you...

ok what am i missing here? ball joint for £180? i went to andrew page lemforder got said ball joint for £15, and installed it in twenty minutes..max... and had a cup of tea whilst doing it..
was the 180 for other parts i didnt get?
Well just got back from snetterton eve track session... a shake down for the car really....
was wet and damp.... all went really well... bedded the brakes in and they are no longer binding...
car seemed to handle pretty well with the contisport original wheels left on as it was wet handling...
oh b*llocks.. ive only just gone and removed the fog lights and inner wheel arch.. thought about making up some ductwork... then looked at your thread and went... "well his arnt ducted, so if its good enough for him its good enough for me" then you go and get these...
thats a cool product too...and to be honest probably would have purchased that first if i had seen it... having said i really like being able to remove the steering wheel....and the mechanism is lovely.. it also has a bit of novelty cool factor.. its a good security device as my car will be...
i reckon it should be good,,, being 6ft 1 with a tall top half ive only ever found things too low... if i find it too low i think i will have more problems seeing over the dash :smile:
should be fine then.. i keep my eyes closed going round corners :smile:

got mine delivered to day from JCC Rally.. bloody brilliant bit of kit.. perfect position of my steering wheel...
and its so good being able to remove it.... should make getting in real easy when my bucket seats are installed..
the mechanism is top notch.... looks to have ball bearing release...
took a few more mill off the pads.... went for a drive still slight binding, seesm to release going backward.... pads probably have about 2mm verticle play in the calipers when cold... should i ease a bit more off the nobly bits?
also ive left the spring retainers on should these be removed?/...
