Made my first trip out on track at the weekend
Thoroughly enjoyed it :) but my mate with an Astra VXR has an oil temp gauge that at one point in the day read 120 Celsius...
After this, I'd quite like to fit a gauge to find out what my temps are doing whilst on track
Any other gauges I should...
Just put in a JC5 130 box from a 172 to replace my JC5 130 box in the 182.
Now cruise control works in all gears except 5th. And don't really understand how/why it's not working in this 1 gear...anyone any ideas?
Also, can anyone tell me if 1500rpm in 5th at 30mph sounds about right?

Well I bought my Cup in August 2011 and started a project diary then, but didn't keep up with it and it wasn't that good anyway.
Instead of trying to catch up and start again, I thought I'd start a project diary from now, and document any changes with the Clio this year. I plan to do a number...
I'm trying to decide between 2 nano sealants after I correct the paint on my RB next year, as tbh I can't be bothered to top up waxes etc and quite like the idea of 1 year plus of protection
The 2 I've narrowed it down to are:
Cquartz UK Edition with Reload for top ups once a month
or
Wolfs...

If I was too powerflex the dogbone mount on a 2001 Clio 1.4, would it be the twisted type or the inline type I'd need? I'm assuming the latter but thought I'd check :)

It was quite a series of events that saw my Dad and I in possession of a rather sorry looking Capri...
First of all, both of us used to race motocross at a semi competitive level. Unfortunately in February whilst testing, Dad had a pretty serious 'off' and ended up with a host of injuries...
I want to take the Clio to somewhere that can set up the suspension for me, check alignment/camber/castor etc.
I've taken it to places like Merityre but I don't think theyre brilliant for even the basic alignment

Wondering which would be the better set up for road & track work
Either:
PMS top mount kit & strut brace as this is a highly praised set up with a strut brace that works with the Clio
and
Eibach camber bolts for setting up a bit of negative (thought -1.5 for road & track?)
OR
AST top mounts...
I'm looking for a new camera and I've narrowed it down to 2 within my budget and need a bit of help on deciding which one to get

I need to find out whether my car was fitted with an update list or tuner list OEM stereo originally. Unfortunately I purchased the car with an aftermarket HU and I've had a quick flick through my service pack and can't find any info.

Pretty upsetting times at the moment :(. Been a bad month for the RB 182 Cup, with alloys being curbed, hares being hit etc. and now a nice front end prang at the weekend ....
I'm currently awaiting the assessor to decide on whether it is going to be a total loss or repairable...
Driving home from work down the back roads, hare decides to have a sprint race as I get near it.

Initial Damage Broken bits Straightened out
Repair will do for the mo, but lower part of the bumper is cracked and looks like the A/C rad has pushed back...
